I absolutely love everything about this product except for one major violation. It's solid, secure, well made, with nice padded shoulder straps which really helps when I'm carrying a slightly heavier pet on my petite frame, the body is sturdy so it won't sag under your pet's weight BUT I'm scared in front carry my pet. in or even let my pet get close! I have NEVER, EVER in my 40+ years of my life sniffed anything that had such a horrible chemical smell, including pure ammonia. One day I bought a pair of cheap boots that were very close and I visited a gas chamber at a Marine Corps boot camp where the gas had a persistent and painful presence that made us all dirty. This product immediately brought tears to my eyes and a severe headache that required ibuprofen, an ice pack and going to bed. I'm really very concerned about transporting it in my car to the nearest drop off point which is less than a mile from my home. I put it on a covered porch so the pungent odor wouldn't spread throughout the house. I am horrified to think why the item has such an extremely strong odor and would caution anyone who does not wish to be euthanized. Your pet objects to buying this strange smelly item. Aside from the threat of animal terrorism, the build and design is perfect. May the odds always be on Fido's side! Be sure to wear a gas mask or carry a bottle of painkillers. You need a full bottle! Better yet, start a drip!
