A fully functional smart watch with a heart rate monitor, support for SIM cards, and even a camera was released on the market at a price that was almost identical to what I had paid for my magnificent Mi Band 2 from China while it was being shipped to me. Competitors in the fitness industry are also on high alert, having developed identical wristbands that cost about half as much and have a considerably larger screen surface. - It was a fairly subdued show. The actual size of the display screen is much smaller than a square, and there is a large blank space between the screen and the button. The card provides scant information, so those with vision impairments won't be able to read the date or month. Already, competing brands are releasing wristbands that are twice as cheap and have a screen that covers the entire bracelet's face. - The bracelet's full potential can only be realized when paired with a modern mobile device (phone or tablet) that supports Bluetooth 4.0. A toy that shows the time, the number of steps taken in the past twenty-four hours, and the user's heart rate at the push of a button is not much use without them. Also, after three days of use, the watch stopped tracking my heart rate and didn't start up again until I paired it with my new tablet and installed the ated firmware. - The quality of each additional strap is obviously lower than that of the standard black strap included in the package. The plastic there has a rougher texture, making it less pleasant to the touch and less comfortable in the hand; the strap that encircles the device has thicker edges; and so on.
