Review on Portable Meino Trio Go 14" Monitor Display Compatible by Michael Skye

Exactly what I need

Before COVID, I spent a lot of time working away from my desk - in hotels, cafes, outside, on porches, in bed - and it was very hard for me to only have a tiny laptop monitor. As an add-on, I used an iPad and/or USB monitor combo that attached to my laptop (I used Mountie+ by Ten One Design) or mounted on a stand. It worked well enough, but was quite cumbersome to assemble every time. When Mobile Pixels released their first generation Duel monitor, I thought about buying it. I also thought about SideTrak. However, I decided to wait as new products tend to be a bit temperamental. I have friends who were among the first to use it and they mentioned heat issues and inconsistent performance. I'm happy to report that I haven't found any issues with TRIO. The screen is sharp and clear. The case is stable - I can rotate the screen to different angles, and even if my laptop's screen is tilted slightly backwards, there are no problems with falling. It was very easy to install and the magnetic connection is solid (but doesn't cause any problems with my computer or the peripherals I keep near my computer). My only complaint is that it's heavy. It will definitely add weight to your bag so it won't be an EDC item for most people. For those who need to work on the go and can't get by with a single laptop screen, this is the best product out there in my opinion. I use it every day (even when I'm at my desk) and so far so good.
