Seems to be sturdy and strong metal has very little flex while pressing on it. The magnet that holds the door shut is also pretty strong it will pull the door shut when it gets 1/2 or maybe a little less when it gets close. It comes with three metal flags red, silver and black. There is only one hole on one side to mount the flag with a bolt,nut and plastic washer but you could drill another hole if you need it on the other side. There is numerous holes on the bottom for mount or installing so there is probably several different ways to mount the box. A few area's of concern are there are four holes in one each back corner not very big maybe 1/8 but living in NC we do get heavy down pours with blowing rain and I would be concerned that water maybe able to enter through the back. Caulking may be used to fill the holes in. There was no instructions so I am not sure if those are another way to mount it if so I would have liked to have seen a few plugs to close the four holes in the back. Also the door stick's out about an inch at the bottom and angle's in to the top with Maybe 1/8 to a 1/4 gap at the top and there is maybe a 1/4 gap between the housing and the door on the sides. I would be concerned about blowing rain getting in around the door and the housing the mail box does have some overhang. Being I live in a rural area bugs and spiders would also be a concern with the way the door is made. Over all I like the way the mail box looks very simple but modern, the box and the door seem to be strong and sturdy steel, the few holes in the back and the voids around the door maybe come an issue, no mounting instructions or hardware also might be an issue for some.
