The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

Switched to MBR13R from Dell XPS. XPS is a good machine, but when it came time to upgrade, the screen resolutions were already high, and scaling on Win was still not perfect. When the option with the MBR13R turned up, the prices for the similar Dell XPS13 were comparable. The MBR13R was selling for 200 bucks less. When the issue with a free license for MS Office was resolved, the last doubts disappeared. Usage scenario: * web browsing, mail, instant messengers *MS Office for Mac 2022 * Working with terminal Win servers, editing scripts in Sublime, VS Code Pros: 1) the ideal ratio of mobility / convenience. Screen 13 on Win was small, but here everything is fine, because of the excellent scaling in Mac OS, everything is well read, and it fits into any backpack. 2) we type a lot of text (my wife earns money with translations), the keyboard is just great, as is the trackpad 3) a large number of convenient programs for development 4) the console and all the ensuing consequences :) 5) good autonomy Flaws: 1) the price still bites. 2) the lack of a complete alternative to Total Commander. There are analogues, but still TC is a brilliant tool.

Pros
  • Screen, dimensions, keyboard, build quality, OS and software optimization for Retina
Cons
  • Price
