Review on Dell AS501 Speaker Ultrasharp Monitors by Mark Toth

The AS501's sound quality is better than the AX510. I bought two used AS501s from Front Source Technologies for the price of a new AX510. One came with broken clips on the back so it wouldn't connect to my Dell monitor, but other than that it worked. However, Front Source Technologies was quick to send out a replacement and I have to say the packaging was extremely good! Sound quality is good, but don't expect Bose-level playback. If you need HIGH volume, they'll get tinny sooner than a 2.1 sound system. Make sure these models match your particular monitor by checking the back for two protruding blocks. The newer Dell monitors have a different mechanism to match a different soundbar.
