Review on ๐Ÿ”’ Travelon Blocking Passport Black: Ultimate Size for Secure Travel by Angel Larson

Does what it says on the tin

I have a trip abroad in a month and for my first trip abroad I wanted to consolidate all my papers and cash in one wallet/purse. I looked at the lanyards for carrying passports and decided I wasn't very good and needed something around my neck. I don't fly often so something that fits in my front/back pocket should be fine. After looking at a few inexpensive ($10-$20) entry-level bags, I settled on the Travelon bag/wallet. Pros: Nylon with leather trim is good. I didn't want a leather wallet to break a sweat during my travels and with all entry-level wallets, everyone will suffer from the cheap look of leather. This makes the wallet nice overall and the leather details look nice (especially for the price). 5 card slots and an inner pocket for folded bills/receipts. The card slots slide out/insert easily. While I didn't buy it for the RFID aspect, I can absolutely attest that my device works. I put my company building pass in my wallet, closed the flap and the door receiver couldn't see the card. When I opened the lid, it recognized the RFID card perfectly. Since it will be in my pocket, the wallet will remain closed, effectively suppressing the RFID signal. Cons: The flap that holds the passport is a bit flimsy. Since this wallet will be in my pocket, I'm not worried that it will fall out. But I suppose it can be confusing for frequent flyers. There is no lock/valve to securely close the wallet. Again it will be in my pocket so no big deal. But I could see the appeal in it. If you are using this in a purse/loose bag I would suggest not using this device. If you plan on carrying this in your pocket, this is a great little travel wallet. I've posted some photos for added visual reinforcement - I didn't realize it had a pocket under the cards, which is a huge plus for me.
