Review on Wi-Fi adapter TP-LINK TL-WN822N, white by Anand John ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The ratio of price and quality is very pleasing, I will repeat the purchase.

I bought it to replace the old dlinkovsky 56mb \ s pci-card, the signal catches perfectly - behind the reinforced concrete wall from the router, in the far corner of the room 270-300mb \ s. Now about the real speed, at the same time I will answer about the drivers. Card v3, os - win8, tariff speed - 100mb/s. I plugged the card into USB, Windows immediately found the card and installed the driver. I entered the network key, opened the browser - the Internet is working, in the connection properties - 300mb / s. I ran the speedtest - the speed is low, about 50 mb / s. I downloaded and installed the driver from the TP link, the connection speed is 270-300mb/s, but the speedtest has already given out 74mb/s. I decided, what if . and downloaded the driver from the realtek (a slightly older version than the tp-link) - the connection speed is also 270-300mb / s, the speedtest seems to be no more than 70mb / s. In general, I remained on the driver from the tp-link. Yes, by the way, the speed over the wire is an average of 95 mb / s, but here the router can also cut, it's old. In general, feel free to take a card, if there were any problems, then the old revisions, 3 are already completely licked and with full-fledged work in win8 out of the box.

Pros
  • Price USB version: simple connection, flexibility in "catching" the signal Acceptable speed for this price
