Review on πŸŽ’ Osprey Sirrus Women's Backpack in Purple by Mark Hanson

I love Osprey backpacks

I love Osprey backpacks. This is a great backpack, love the pockets and rain cover. What really drew me in was the anti-gravity mesh panel that I found in my other Osprey pack. In the summer I traveled with a REI lightning backpack and my back was sweaty and the backpack stuck to my back the whole trip and it was annoying. So I wanted a backpack with the same mesh panel. I used this backpack for a summer hike in Zion. It was over 90 degrees outside and my back stayed cool. The waist belt holds the load well and the backpack is one size fits all so the straps can be adjusted to your size. It has an internal hydration pocket but is not included. The bungee loop on the backpack strap that holds the trekking poles is handy for storing your poles without removing the backpack BUT I don't like using it for that purpose. I've used it for my poles but when I swing my arms back and forth the handles of the poles rub against my hands so instead I place my poles where the ice ax loop/bungee tie is on the outside of the pack and it worked. Excellent. The side pockets are stretch mesh, so that's where I stashed my 21oz hydroflask. Like the waist belt pockets but wish they could fit my phone because I love taking photos when I'm out. I wish it had a magnetic tube trap because I don't like my strap dangling, but I bought a separate one anyway (Osprey also sells them separately). The opening for the drinking tube is too small.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • I have problems
