Review on πŸŽ₯ Logitech C270 Webcam: Crystal Clear Video and Superior Quality by Momchil Ovcharov ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

The software disc wouldn't read in my drive, ruining the otherwise excellent first impression. I installed the most recent version that I downloaded from the Logitech website. And the computer started to withdraw into itself, and when accessing the camera (even with third-party programs: Skype, QIP, etc.), it crashed with an error in BSOD (blue screen of death). I had to roll back the driver back to the standard one, and after rebooting the image returned, but the Logitech software won't work with a "foreign" driver, so we have to make do with a high-quality, but VGA camera for the price of an HD one. When it comes to sound and image quality, the camera is deserving of a really good rating.

Pros
  • picture caliber! I had read the reviews and anticipated a solid film, but the end outcome much above my hopes. Even at night when all external lights is off, Katrinka is still visible (the 40" monitor above the roof provided sufficient light). Although this is relative, the sound is good, even very good, and I paid 830 for it. I was disappointed to see that the "popular retail chain for everyone" only sells webcams for 690 since I believe none of them deserve to be paid more.
Cons
  • The webcam will fit on some monitors and is probably not bad, but owners of other monitors are unlikely to want to modify their monitor just to use a webcam. Therefore, there is simply no mount. Problems arise even while placing the camera on the table because a large, heavy, and rigid cable tries to turn it on its side. Adhesive tape fixes the issue, but it won't fix the issue of tilting the camera horizontally. In reality, there is no rotation in the horizontal plane.
