Great pencils for beginners

I am not an avid artist. I bought these colored pencils for my daughter who is 10 yrs old. She really enjoys these pencils over her Crayola. She considers these a huge step up. She tends to press very hard on her pencils and I have had to show her how not to press so hard but still receive the same results. Some colors are softer than others. Some you have to press harder than others. I really want to stress that the paper you use does matter. Some of the bad reviews are based on the lack of knowing if they were using the correct paper. If you are looking to use this on regular printer paper, then you should be all right but I suggest using a heavier paper. It will bring out the colors way more. All in all, I would purchase this product again. The price is very hard to beat for beginners. Happy coloring!

Pros
  • The pencils are very versatile, so you can use them for a wide variety of art projects
Cons
  • The set may not include enough range in color saturation
