Review on SteelSeries Rival 3 Gaming Mouse - TrueMove Core Optical Sensor up to 8,500 CPI - 6 Programmable Buttons - Split Trigger Buttons - Vibrant Prism RGB Lighting by Micha Maciejowicz ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Normal quality, you can use it.

I tried to get used to it, but in two weeks I didn’t get along with this mouse model :( I bought it based on the reviews. I had to go back to the asymmetrical old Rival 300 Black with its peeled rubber bands on the sides and a backlashing left on, but at least comfortable. I highly recommend to feel the mouse before buying, bringing the testing conditions closer to the real ones.

Pros
  • Pleasant durable soft-touch plastic, beautiful design and unobtrusive backlighting, lack of short-lived rubber pads on the sides, good sensor. The side ons are clearly pressed, although their location and shape are not ideal. I really liked the video, you don’t need to make excessive efforts to press it, it spins properly and does not make much noise, which cannot be said about the ons themselves (see disadvantages).
Cons
  • A completely inconvenient design for a user accustomed to right-handed mice. Forces to twist the right hand to the left in order to more comfortably grasp the mouse with fingers or claws. Because of this, the hand is constantly in tension. The idea of a wide and a narrower front of a mouse also seemed strange. The ons click quite loudly, the LMB even somehow "clatters plastic", although there are no backlashes. However, it also adds to the annoyance. Perhaps, of course, I came across such a loud copy, but I am writing about what I dealt with.
