I use this headset 4-5 days a week training on various Cessna 172's and I am VERY happy with it. It's comfortable and lightweight - of course I can't promise it will be comfortable for YOUR head shape. Obviously the headset turns on after starting the engine (per my checklist!), and I'm impressed every time I turn on my A20; The loud propeller is off and I can hear ATC and my CFI perfectly. When climbing upwind I sometimes see my CFI pressing his headset (not the Bose A20) to my ears to hear ATC - I never have to do that when wearing the A20. If you ever doubt the quality of the noise-cancelling, do as I did. forget to turn on the headset; then turn it on during overclocking. Wonderful! I'm not here to criticize other headsets because I haven't tried anything other than a very early Lightspeed model (Zulu 1). All I know is that I'm very happy to be able to use the Bose A20 while flying. I'm so thrilled I bought the Bose 700 Noise Canceling Headset for home use (damn noisy neighbors!) - but that's another review. :)
