AWESOME BUT SLIGHTLY INVALID

I bought this unit because it's really difficult to find a good quality cassette player with a headphone jack. It's one of the best I've bought, but there are a few finicky things to consider. First, the cassette door is a single piece of black plastic, which means that when rewinding or fast-forwarding, you can't see the tape moving, leaving you guessing how far the tape has moved. Second, vintage boom box cassettes are loaded "upside down," meaning you insert the top of the tape down and the tape edge up. This is normal, except it means the tape moves in the opposite direction to what you might be used to, ie the left << button is actually a fast forward button and the right >> button is a rewind. The buttons aren't labeled, so you have to keep reminding yourself that the characters on this player are reversed because the tape is upside down. Apart from that he is a great player. The rest of the buttons (volume, etc.) feel nice and soft, not as hard and clunky as other players. I assume the CD component is good too, but haven't tried it yet.
