Review on ASUS VT229H Monitor 1080P 10 Point 21.5", Touch Screen, Eye Care, Flicker-Free, Blue Light Filter, HDMI by Matt Bedell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A lot of work from an assistant

After working from home for a few months, I desperately needed a second monitor to help with my development work. Also, one of my laptops, which was supposed to be a tablet, didn't have a touchscreen. This monitor arrived quickly and filled the need for another monitor and need for touchscreen functionality. I was concerned if it would work with both my Windows laptops and Mac laptops, but thankfully the touchscreen works for both. For Mac, I have to be on this screen for touch to work, but it's a very small thing that doesn't bother me. The only complaint I have is that the area for actually connecting the power, HDMI etc is a bit tight so you feel like you can bend the cables a bit more than they should. Compared to the price of other monitors (especially touchscreens). One thing to consider is that this doesn't curl out of the box vertically (at least I can't tell). Otherwise it was a solid purchase for me.

Pros
  • Works amazing, bought for my son to do school work, he loves it, also added a mini pc.
Cons
  • Screen Tearing: This occurs when the monitor's refresh rate is too slow, causing the image to appear choppy or distorted.
