So first of all I will say that my review based on price of $800. It's not a bad watch and seems to do what it says on the tin, but at $800 I was expecting a lot more. My biggest complaint is about the display. Ironically (or not) I bought and returned Instinct for the same reason. Since this is Garmin's flagship watch and it's 2020, it's hard to imagine a company at this price point releasing a tech device with a lousy 260 x 260 pixel display that's about 8% better than the 5th Like the device I carry and deal with all day, I'm really put off by the company's top of the range using 10 year old technology. Likewise, the Garmin Instinct looks like an Atari video game from the 1980s with its 126 x 126 pixel display. Also, the display is almost impossible to see unless the backlight is on. In this case, you will see a very blue screen at night. None of the photos of this watch show what the display actually looks like. Admittedly, I'm a tech snob, so when I spend $800 on tech, I expect the very best the industry has to offer, and that's not the case.
