Review on ASUS VA325H: 31.5 Inch LED Monitor with Blue Light Filter and IPS by Donald Collins

and paired with a small form factor PC was a better solution for me than any SmatTV.

I'm moving my old TV to my kids bedroom and while I'm looking for a replacement for my room, I realize you can't get FullHD on a 32" size for less than $300! But then I found this monitor and together with a small form factor PC it became for me a better solution than any SmatTV! distribute the weight evenly and firmly (this is important to me because it rests on the dresser). As for size and weight, the device is light as a eater for its size, the frame is small and good looking (if you want a micro frame you'll need to go for something like the Acer R240HY or similar). It comes with a VGA and HDMI cable, which is a surprise, most manufacturers only give you a VGA cable. if you get one! The color is pleasing, the saturation is good and the contrast is good in the factory settings. I don't use this device for gaming so can't speak to refresh rates and performance but it handles fast action movies well with no visual halos so I don't see why it wouldn't work well as a gaming monitor. down - sounds flat and can't handle bass at all, but you can't use the audio out on the back of the screen to drive a small set of speakers! (I use a small Bluetooth speaker with lots of bass, and while it doesn't pump like the 300-watt subwoofer on my gaming PC, it does its job well.) If you have a big desk and need a big screen with a small one Budget this will be amazing, if you're looking for a small screen to use as an entertainment center (like I did) this will be amazing. If you want to retouch digital images, work with CAD or play a super hard game. I'll look for other options that might be smaller but offer nicer features in the same price range.

Pros
  • Very happy with these monitors. I have three of these that I use and they work well.
Cons
  • after about 6 months the pixels started to fade, the sound is very quiet.
