Review on Ruaeoda 2 Pack SSD Mounting Bracket Adapter - 2.5" to 3.5", HDD SSD Tray Holder, Metal Mounting Bracket Adapter for PC SSD, Hard Disk Drive Bays by Cody Clark

Cheap - You get what you pay for

I was attracted to these 2.5 to 3.5 adapters by their price. Apparently there shouldn't be any problems with a simple metal adapter plate - right? Not right. Here are the problems.1. The included screws are cheap and only offer a mini standard (flathead) screwdriver. No Phillips screwdriver. strange.2. The machined 3.5 point mounting holes are made with custom sized screws (which means your regular hard drive mounting screws won't work - you need to use the included slotted (fuzzy) screws). 3. Because there are 3 holes in the bracket Points, 5 are machined with custom sized screws, I had difficulty fitting the rails provided by Dell to the 3.5 bracket, the front and rear screw hole inserts did not fully fit the bracket, I pulled out the drill and expanded the Holes on the bracket - and Walla - the problem has been solved, I understand that these are cheap brackets, however, do not think about the quality of the screws (mounting material), use a flat-blade screwdriver instead of a Phillips screwdriver, and finally, not using standard metric thread sizes is too cheap for me .Next time I'll spend more to get an overall better 2 .5" to 3.5" adapter plate to get.
