Very useful product

I found this tool very useful. It's easy to use, has good sensitivity, has a built-in speaker, and is small enough to easily fit in a jacket pocket. A pause button is also useful, allowing you to pause playback for a moment. Someone in a previous review said it was difficult to load the cartridges. I'm assuming they just didn't know how to do it. You simply place the cassette in the door in the correct orientation and close the door. I would have liked the viewing window in the door to show the cassette take-up reel. Initially, this spool moves at a higher speed, so it's easier to check if the tape transport is working. The speech is recorded with good consonants, which makes it easier to understand (I have a severe hearing impairment). I can't judge the quality of the music as I have to use fully programmable digital hearing aids that change the spectrum. As a result, what I hear is not what others would hear.

Pros
  • Built-in microphone and speaker make recording and playback easier
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
