Where do I even start with this? I bought this in 2019. It is not user friendly, there is no guidance on how to set it up or use the system or app. I had to use trial and error. We had a camera stop working sometime after buying it and I contacted the company. Their support is not good, they are unprofessional but they did send us a new camera for free however they wanted to give me an Revain gift card for a 5 star review which I didn't think they deserved. I believe good reviews are earned not bought. The cameras are not horrible but not great either. I also do not like the fact that you can't buy additional cameras even though my system can support at least 8 (this only came with 4). The app you have to download to use the cameras (XVR Pro) is horrible. My husband and I received many warnings about security issues with this app ever since we downloaded it which we should not receive. Recently, Google on our phones posed it as a threat and disabled it and told my husband and I repeatedly in one day to uninstall it immediately. I was torn as it was my only way of viewing my cameras when I wasn't home but didn't want my information/data compromised so I uninstalled it. I looked for it on Google Play to reinstall it and it is no longer there. I also tried to use the QR code within the camera system and that didn't work either. So I contacted the company expressing my frustration with the app, the company changing the app and not letting the consumer know and the company's security issues and all I received back was that I had to download Goolink, (which I do not know what that is, I got mixed reviews online about if it was safe or not) it is not on Google Play but I was told I would have to download it from another website (which it did not give me the website) which I am very leery about and shouldn't have to do with a camera company. I didn't receive an apology or anything else. The person typed as if they were texting saying, "pls" for please and they even misspelled "Goollink." Their email address is not a company address but a Hotmail account. There is so much wrong with this company and it doesn't feel safe or right. So please do yourself a favor and do your research and buy something better and safer! I hope you read this and save yourself the hassle and money! I wish I wouldn't have bought it and will be looking for something else ASAP!Updated: September 30, 2022, now they are trying to charge me for the app. Nothing that I found in the description or information said in 3 years they would start to charge me to use my cameras on the app. You either get charged or get it free with ads which from what I read they make the ads loud and you are able to turn them down. The cost per year isn't much but it is the principle of the matter. For something that is supposed to be "free" and is advertised as such and then all of a sudden you can't use the app to view your cameras which what is the point? I contacted them and gave them a piece of my mind which their customer service is a joke and as you can guess they are not going to do anything about it. Please, avoid this hassle and get something else. We are looking into different cameras too just to have better quality, better service, no hidden fees, an app that works and isn't flagged as harmful to my phone, etc.Updated: When confronting the app's customer service about the lack of honesty about trying to charge for a "free" app they blocked my email. It won't let me click the free with ads option and I tried to do the yearly subscription charge on a Mastercard gift card to avoid any extra charges from this shady company and it wouldn't let me. I still can't view my cameras!
