Review on ASUS VA24DQ Frameless Adaptive Sync Display - Blue Light Filter, Flicker-Free & Eye Care Support. by Chris Norris

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Inexpensive IPS monitor without PWM/flicker

Replaces a 2015 Dell 24" S-Series glossy 1080p anti-flicker monitor with 2 x 3W speakers. I needed a flicker free/PWM monitor and decent built in speakers. In fact, there are only four models: 1. ASUS VA24DQ 2x2W2. Dell S2421H 2x3W (Discontinued? 3. Benq GW2480 2x1W4 Benq EW2480 2x2.5WGood+ No dead pixels, very little backlight+ 100% no flickering - Brightness from 100 to 0 and with 60Hz or 75Hz speakers+ Decrease from 2x3W to 2x2W very noticeable but still acceptable Bei less than 2 x 2w you'll need to buy external speakers + a blue light filter - you'll need it given how blue monitors are these days - the brightness is set at 100 and locked making them unusable outside of brightly lit office spaces you'll most likely need Adjust settings to get a usable screen - Matte screen - Glossy is better with its "shiny booty".
