Work well for our 5 yr old

These patches slide on easy and stay in place. We use these for our 5 year old's glasses to help strengthen her other eye. I don't think they have as much block out for peripheral as for as looking up and down compared to the larger foamy patches (blocks peripheral vision on the side well) -however since these don't press against her skin , they don't bother her at all and she wears them longer with less complaining. I would recommend

Pros
  • The 6 pack provides ample opportunity to switch out patches for daily use
Cons
  • The patches may cause the child to miss out on certain activities or experiences

Not the best option for us

Our six year old daughter we have had to patch for amblyopia for about 18 months. She absolutely hates patching. We tried taping over her glasses with paper, but she would just take her glasses off. I bought her this, thinking the pink would help. It looks very cheap and I found out very quickly it can only be put on one say to work correctly. However, my daughter said that the material was very itchy and uncomfortable. She would just lower her glasses or slide it around to look out the corner.

Pros
  • Works great though they can move it out of the way and cheat.
Cons
  • The adhesive on the patch may not stick well and the patch may fall off easily

As good coverage as the stick on patches.

When my daughter was diagnosed with amblyopia her Dr. said we should get the stick on patches so that she couldn't cheat and look through the gap left by this type of patch. Well, we did the stick on patches for 4 months, but it's becoming difficult to get her to put them on. We ordered this one and there is extra material by the nose piece that eliminates the cheat gap, and our daughter loves them! She doesn't complain about here "eyeflashes" getting in her eye, and she can just take…

Pros
  • The pink color adds a touch of fun to the patching process
Cons
  • The patches may be more difficult to use with glasses that have a strap or band

Nice and reusable good for me

They’re nice because they’re reusable and I don’t have to keep buying adhesives. My issue is that my daughter would constantly look her over glasses which kind of defeats the purpose. These are good if your child is good about keeping their glasses in position.

Pros
  • These work great for my 1 1/2 year old daughter. And now I don’t have to rip off the sticky ones
Cons
  • May cause discomfort or irritation on children's skin

freaking amazing: my feedback

IF you have a terrorist of a kindergartner living with you that makes you feel like a hostage negotiator every day of your life, then you may like these. We are a household of 5 and we all wear glasses. The terrorist was the last to get hers. She hated the pirate patch that the optometrist gave her. So i figured i would try these. after the first night of her screaming her head off and the police showing up with guns drawn, we tried several different options. We let her put them on and it was…

Pros
  • Ewinever(R) patches come in a convenient pack of 6
Cons
  • The patches may cause the child to become frustrated or restless during treatment

Works great good for me

These are great! They cover really well and are soft enough that it doesn't bother my 5 year old. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that they tend to try to slide back a bit, so you have to keep pushing them back around, but it's not a huge deal. Definitely worth it for the money.

Pros
  • Had to cut and tape this in order to get it to fit on 7 year old glasses.
Cons
  • It may take some time for the child to get used to wearing the eye patch, causing initial resistance

Fits over my daughter's glasses and her eye doesn't get a sweaty as the adhesive patches but she is 4 and likes to slide the patch over. Going to stick with the adhesive patches for now but would recommend for a child that is a bit older or used to patching.

Pros
  • Skin Care
Cons
  • The patches may cause the child to become dependent on them for seeing properly

You get 6!: my feedback

I thought this was just one patch but it came with 6. Which is good because my daughter can leave when in her room, backpack, my purse and gymnastics bag! Easy to put on and work great.

Pros
  • Amblyopia eye patches can improve a child's ability to read, write and learn
Cons
  • The patches may cause the child to become frustrated with the treatment process

Works Well With One Tiny Modification

I had to snip the little hole to make it wide enough for my daughter's frame to thread through, but otherwise works wells. It does the job of keeping a four-year-old's eye covered to make the other one stronger!

Pros
  • So much better than sticky patches. My daughter can use one for months before it wears out.
Cons
  • The patches may interfere with the child's vision and depth perception

Good price for the product

I like the quantity for the price. Very thin needs to be thicker, have different colors and designs. Great packing. I'm pleased with the product.

Pros
  • Ewinever(R) patches are gentle enough for extended use
Cons
  • The patches may cause the child to feel disoriented or dizzy during treatment
