It's certainly weak, but at least I have a square one. That could change if I gave up. I used to have a really nice T-square with a stainless steel ruler and an aluminum head. I didn't know what I had! I wish I knew what happened to him. For now this will suit my needs but given the flimsy ruler, plastic head and cheap rivets I don't think it will last long.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • Negative impression

Suitable for rough joinery

Not square. The end needs to be checked and fitted to the head. Repeated measurements show this thing to be 0.5mm out of the square in length. Not even suitable as a ruler as the one sent to me has a bow deflection of 0.23mm. I believe this product is suitable for general non-scientific measurement assumptions. Perhaps the manufacturer and Revain could call this product a "cheap, almost exact" product in the future.

Should have bought a few years ago

Great item, wish I had bought it years ago. It's light, well built. and is good value for money. The T-Square line is 36 inches long, which is perfect. I've used the T-Square about 20 times since I bought it and 36 inches is enough but not too long. The 36 inches along the ruler is large and easy to spot, with IMPERIAL or inches on either side. I don't really need the METRIC system on one side. The top section is about 8" and has 3" on each side of the T. I think you may need a larger T section

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Out of style

Works perfectly. but received damaged goods several times.

This T-Square works great. I use this for craft/art/decal projects. For these purposes, the ruler seems really strong. Bought after having trouble getting straight lines with my other rulers. I want to warn people about some of the quality issues I've encountered. The first one I received had several deep cuts on the underside of the blue head - it looked like someone held a utility knife on it and cut some lines. The raised/cleaned bits of plastic were still attached to the ruler and scratched

Pros
  • Instills confidence
Cons
  • There are downsides
