Stress Coat or Prime? I choose an anti-stress coat.

I heard everyone swears by Prime. But, you know what? I like to use my anti-stress raincoat. I particularly like that it contains aloe, which helps keep the fish's mucous membranes in good condition. I used Prime before. , anti-stress coat for me.

Use it regularly. Highly recommended.

I've been using this regularly in my freshwater pools since the fall of 1999 with no crashes or problems. I recommend it for the health and safety of your fish in tap water. Use it regularly to remove chlorine from your tank when you first fill your tank, when you do a water change, and when you add fish to your tanks. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Great for fish and humans!

Ideal for treating water and creating a nice protective layer for fish. I filter the water but add the recommended dose to ensure the chlorine and chloramines are neutralized. If you've swum yourself, a good antichlor/aloe vera mix is great for mixing with some soap (be careful if other chemicals are listed with the soap) in the bath or shower.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • I will add later

Failure or the Holy Grail.?

HOLY GRAIL! This is the best material in the world. My fish LOVE it and it reduces their stress so much their colors are back and they look so much happier. I have cichlids and the color is very important in determining if they are stressed or not. I've used many pet store recommended (simply because they're expensive) water conditioners that don't even scratch the surface of how much I love this water conditioner.

Great for Betta! at Fish & Aquatic Pets

A few weeks before Christmas I caught a rag shark and had to start his tank from scratch. So I bought this and several other Revain water conditioners and chicken medications. It really helped keep the water safe for my cockatiel and I think it also helped get rid of the fin rot and kept her happy and happy. healthy. When I received it, its fins were torn and rotted. he had very little energy. Now he swims all over the place and his fins look great. Highly recommended!

Bottle came with a 'Damaged' sticker

I received the bottle with a handwritten 'Damaged' sticker. The bottle was also missing a cap. The security seal was in place (good because I ordered multiple items that were shipped together in one box). But without the cap I can't close the bottle after removing the protective seal. In any case, I will not risk using this product in my aquariums. I doubt the quality control of this product and I don't trust its contents. Even if I did, I couldn't store it without the lid.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Safety

I've been using API StressCoat Water Conditioner in our outdoor carp pond for years. I use it when adding new water, when the fish are hatching or going through the sometimes rough and rigorous mating ritual and egg laying. In all these years our koi and goldfish have developed splendidly. I wouldn't use anything other than the StressCoat API. This is a great product and our fish has always been very healthy. I have never been disappointed with this product. I definitely recommend it.

Lucky Fish at Fish & Aquatic Pets

My betta snapped its fins on driftwood I had in my aquarium (I've since removed them). He was very lethargic and I was afraid he wouldn't survive so I went online to see what I could do. The combination of this substance and aquarium salt helped him fully recover. It's in 5 gallons, and sometimes it's hard to tell how much to add because of that. This product says you can add more when trying to help damaged fins, saving you some worries. via an overdose of the reservoir. Please note that this…

Cheap, affordable, works great.

I have been using this product for many years and it works great for my small aquarium. I just fill a 5 gallon bucket with the same temperature as the water in the tank and add a cup. For my large tank I fill it up with python without spilling anything and pour the hooks straight into the faucet and I add api to the tank as water comes in. I found that it took a full minute to fill a 5 gallon bucket, so as long as the water is flowing into the tank I keep track of the timer and add a cup every…
