    Excellent product, the best quality.

Has some pros Works great in both frequency ranges. There were never any problems with installation, configuration, operation. Its cons: Judging by the negative comments of others, marriage comes across. But this is a general trend for any manufacturer, IMHO.

It is better not to buy it, the product is not what it should be.

On my PC, a similar module used to work without problems, this one does not. I regret the purchase, there is a new one thrown on Avi for half the price.

    Pros
    • No, it didn't work for me.
    Cons
    • Doesn't work on desktop. It started at work, on a laptop, but not on a PC. The network sees, does not want to connect, and if you connect it to Wi-FI with some kind of crutches, there is absolutely no Internet.

I should have looked for better, I spent my money on a mediocre product.

Very poor coverage on Linux OS - 40-50% of the maximum coverage, as well as a low speed of about 2-2.5 times the maximum possible. The problem is with the driver provided on the disk, a very outdated kernel. In general, if you buy for use in windows, then there are no problems, it starts working immediately, the speed is good, the coverage is also, but since I bought it rather for working in linux, I'm disappointed.

    Pros
    • Small and compact. Works well with Windows OS.
    Cons
    • Poor work with Linux OS.

Not a bad purchase, worth the money.

I use it on a desktop with Windows 10, during the first installation it was very buggy, Windows gave every second a device was found / a device was disconnected. I removed the drivers for all the old adapters, rebooted the pen once, it worked. But a couple of times a week it stops seeing all networks, either reswitching or removing the driver and installing it again helps. But my last PCI D-link adapter worked even worse, so I set it to 4. Everything is ok with the speed, 100Mbps on torrents…

    Pros
    • Easy to install, good signal
    Cons
    • Sometimes it completely stops seeing networks, you have to reswitch

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

Bought on 09202222. I trust ASUS, that's why I chose this model. I ordered from China, because in 2022 at that moment the model was not on sale for a long time, so I overpaid, of course, but consciously. I use with ASUS RT-AC66U on ASUS X551C laptop. Although the connection is stable and there are no breaks due to the fault of the device, I don’t remember that at least once the speed rose above 100mb / sec. The router is in the kitchen, I watch HD movies on it in the room. Usually the speed is…

    Pros
    • The strength of the ASUS brand Declared support for 8022022ac blue indicator
    Cons
    • The size is too big, decently sticks out, no matter how it hurts. The connection is stable at only 72 mb/sec. USB 2.0, but I would like USB 3.0

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

Nice keyring! Somewhere here in the reviews they wrote that it was not stable. I have been using it for more than a month, I hung it on an extension cord. The test was carried out to transfer 2 terabytes to the hard drive of my router. No breaks or reconnects. The only thing is that my RT-ac68u can output up to 1.5 gigabits (?) via AC, but here it shows only 150 megabits. However, if you dig deeper, I think you can loosen the width of the channel and run it faster, but I'm too lazy! Verdict…

    Pros
    • The size! Stability!
    Cons
    • Only 150 megabits / s on Wifi AC configured by default.

Think twice before you buy-the product is disgusting.

Making it work at 5 GHz is almost impossible. Immediately after installation into the system, everything works well, finds 5 GHz networks and connects to them. But after working a little, he falls off them and does not find them anymore. Continues to work only with 2.4 GHz networks. After some time it stops working with them. You have to climb into the device manager and remove the adapter driver, or poke the adapter into another USB port. Recently, more and more often I began to lose the…

    Pros
    • Fast initial setup. Actually controversial: - all other adapters are also quickly configured; - given the fact that you constantly have to remove device drivers, there is no simplicity in this;
    Cons
    • Loses connection constantly. Works very poorly with 5 GHz networks.

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

    Totally disappointed, product is terrible.

Freshly installed Windows, all ates. The driver is loaded automatically. In the list of devices "The device is working properly", but suddenly bam! "You don't have a connection." The network signal is complete, the ip address is available. after a minute, the connection icon falls off. A minute later, there are no Wi-Fi networks. Reboot, juggling, tambourine - nothing helps. I removed tplink from another computer and immediately went to write a review.

    Pros
    • Looks pretty. Pretty compact. Kind of a brand.
    Cons
    • There is only one drawback and it crosses out everything - this thing, misunderstood called a WI-FI adapter, does not work! Never! Never buy ASUS Wi-Fi adapters. I already have a collection: an ancient PCI adapter and the latest "whistle". Both simply do not see Wi-Fi networks.

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

When you turn on the system unit, and the device is not recognized: ASUS USB-AC51. Occasionally, you just have to take it out of the USB socket, the device: ASUS USB - AC51 and insert it back (into the USB port) without overloading Windows. Then immediately Windows find everything and the Internet turns on, this happens on average: 2 times a week when downloading. And so everything works with a bang, I didn’t throw it out of the Internet even once. Distribution (speed) corresponds to the…

    Pros
    • Available in stores, easy to set up, 2022 language.
    Cons
    • Paired with: ASUS RT AC51U. Sometimes Windows does not see it on the ASUS H87 - PLUS motherboard, when it is turned on (booting Windows 8.1 to 64 bits). Although the LCD TV (LG) turns on and perfectly recognizes the ASUS RT AC51U, although rarely, there are slight delays with the Internet when the TV is turned on, although rare.

I am amazed at how well made the product is, just magical!

The most interesting thing is that at first I thought that this thing was weak, because I sat on it from a laptop (Win 7) and the download speed was unstable and constantly dropped, the device was heating up. Yesterday I assembled a PC for Windows 10 and tried to run a torrent - lo and behold, no heating and drops. Download speed: stable 20mb/s. I don't see the point in adding anything else. Recommend

    Pros
    • Miniature 5GHz
    Cons
    • Blue indicator that burns the retina

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Feel free to buy, for such a price, the quality is simply amazing.

In general, I first bought an ASUS RT-AC1200G PLUS router. And I decided to try out the new Wi-Fi standard, I bought this Wi-Fi module in a computer. On a 5 hertz (AC) connection through 2 concrete walls with closed doors, it gives a connection speed of 101.8-110 Mbps. According to the speed test (speedtest), it gave 89 for downloading 78 for uploading with a ping of 2, while the download speed in a torrent is 8-10 mb per second (the provider has a 100 mb rate). Next to the router (in the same…

    Pros
    • Dimensions, design, operating speed 5 Hertz and AC. Almost no heat
    Cons
    • I did not reveal for myself

    Works well on Linux

We have Linux at home and I bought my wife a new HP laptop for Christmas. The built-in Wi-Fi worked on Linux, but didn't recover when the laptop was put to sleep. It worked with an old USB WiFi EDIMAX I had, but the speed was slow. This device has kernel support for kernels 4.x and above, and when I use the 5GHz band it gets our full 100Mbps speed test (it used to be 10-12). I've tried several different USB devices in the past and all had to compile drivers that didn't want to be built against…

    • There are cons
