5 minute fix for a malfunctioning gas igniter

Our standard 6 gallon gas/electric HWH Atwood stopped sparking at the igniter. The gas valve worked, but the control board just gave a high-pitched screech as the igniter was about to fire. The 110v side still worked and the grill lighter worked as a short term fix on the gas side. I disassembled the ignition unit, cleaned it, checked its integrity, it still does not work. The new lighter didn't work either. Replacing the circuit board with this device fixed everything. A bit expensive but RV…

A very disappointing purchase!

This Atwood board replaces the Atwood board in a brand new Atwood water heater purchased January 2019. The board failed a little over a year ago, there was no fire. Adding this board was easy, took less than 5 minutes and fixed the issue. Let's see how long this one lasts. I didn't want to go to the store to have it diagnosed under the warranty offered by Atwood, it wouldn't have been worth the trouble. I would have bought a much better Dinosaur Electronics UIB64 ignition board but it wasn't…

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Crumpled

Control board part number

. This part number cannot be found in any seller profile! No cross references were found to other part numbers for the new board. An Atwood GC10A-4E hot water unit was crossed with an Atwood control board that I ordered. #91365. They sent me Dometic MPD part number 93305. It was a crappy shoot but I took the picture. This worked and solved my problem. The gas block lights up, but goes out after 7-8 seconds. Rework 4 barrels, then lay them out. tricky business, those camper things I guess! YODA

Pros
  • . Delivery was very fast.
Cons
  • . Obsolete model

Saved my camping trip

I was told I would have to wait 6 weeks at my camper service center where I bought my camper to get a warranty replacement for this part. I have read many complaints on the forum that this part is faulty in new 2018 and 2019 motorhomes and trailers. I was told the price is double the price of this part. came for the night. very quickly I was concerned that it looked a little different. installed and fingers crossed. Electricity and gas are now working (gas doesn't catch fire), very glad my…

Perfect replacement

At first I thought my board was defective, I called Atwood and told them I ran a diagnostic test and the board had failed. They gave me a part number for what turned out to be this board. They said I would need an edge connector, but I waited for the board very quickly and found it came with one that I didn't need. I could tell my cable connector would fit easily. While waiting for the board to ship, I realized I had a good one. The thermostat was open at the time of testing because I hadn't…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Atwood is no good help for water heaters, parts and accessories

I've tried half a dozen of these boards. I asked Atwood for technical assistance, but they didn't do it. They sent me a replacement board but they will not hook me up to electrical circuitry or technical support. I feel like I fried these boards because of the high voltage, but they won't respond with instructions. High voltage from my tractor when charging the battery (14.4V) when connected to a trailer and the water heater is on. Also, my trailer went down from 24v to 12v, it worked fine at…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design

Known defective circuit boards

I bought this product to replace the original circuit board in my 2017 Fleetwood build. This is a different version of the original but is said to be compatible with the Atwood gc6aa-10e. Insert the part and briefly turn the gas on and then off again. Progress over what happened before but still not working properly. Desperate after spending hours trying to figure out what was going on and then waiting days for a role. Called the mobile RV technician and he confirmed it as I told him the board…

Direct replacement for Atwood P/N 90097. Easy installation.

Our 2015 Leprechaun had a water heater that didn't work. I tested the 140 degree thermostatic switch built into the TCO and ECO switch (180 degree emergency shutdown). Everything checked out fine. Still won't start on electricity or propane. Sometimes it tried to catch fire, but there was no gas and therefore no flame. Looking through various boards I found that this one is physically the same as the original, although as other reviews have noted some of the tops of some components are no…
