I've used two bulbs since I bought them and one burned out very quickly but I hope it was just an accident. I'm happy with them.

these lightbulbs give off quite a bit of heat and make the room very warm. turning off the lights and relying on the computer lights to see what's in the room. Sad!

Last year I ordered a pack of 2 bulbs. The first lasted 6 months, not bad but definitely less than the claimed 1500 hour lifespan. Was replaced by a second one which blew out after 3 weeks. What a disappointment!

Bought for an open pendant light; works perfectly; also very bright towards the top. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because silver has very little uneven coloring when lit. Looks perfect when switched off. It's not a huge discoloration and I only used two bulbs and it's very slight. I will definitely buy them again.

I love these. I have a Tiffany style ceiling lamp. With these bulbs, the light does not hit the eyes directly. They are shorter than traditional bulbs, so the light stays where it belongs. Just so you know, they burn just like regular lightbulbs, so they burn out a lot quicker than new-age lightbulbs with mercury in them. But the bulb must be with the lamp.

They're pretty hard to find. I have never seen them in a store in 100w. They come in handy for me as I have several applications where I use the lamp without a shade, when installing over a mirror or with short lampshades where the bulb is sticking out from above. I HATE a naked lightbulb burning in my eyeballs! This solves the problem. They work well with the dimmers I use in almost all of my lamps and lighting fixtures. 1 star deducted because they are expensive at $5 each even if you buy 6…
