Short lifespan for 4K

After a few months of use, it no longer works for 4K, which is the main reason for the purchase. Of course, coming back is outside the window now that he is doing it.

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Quality

Chromecast and audio extraction issue

Chromecast video could not be streamed. Any non-stereo audio format coming from the Nvidia Shield wasn't properly extracted from the 3.5mm jack and was just noise.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Security

A small caveat but perfect for everything else!

I love how this product makes it easy to switch between inputs and outputs. The small remote control is handy and simple. I don't know if it's just me, but when I turn on my 4K px747 projector, the screen shows static images until I switch inputs. It's not bad, but I wish it wasn't. Although in every other area it is perfect!

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish

Excellent remote switching device

Excellent device that works as advertised. Quickly switch and sync with popular devices such as HDTV and projector with cable box and game consoles. NOT tested 4K. However, standard HD looks GREAT with no noise or visual artifacts (noise, lines, ghosting, etc.). The remote control is simple and works well. If you need a switcher with multiple inputs and two outputs, this is the device for you.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Full 4 in 2 out matrix

Pretty decent weight with an all metal construction so it can easily support the weight of an HDMI cable. This is a solid fully matrix switched device that still works flawlessly and is just what we needed to route 4 HDMI sources to 2 separate outputs. The display literally goes black for a split second when switching inputs, but that's not a big deal unless you're interested in live video production, which is another story.

Pros
  • Crossing my fingers
Cons
  • Anything I can add

The box works fine, there is a remote control

Excellent matrix box for such a price. As far as I know, Cable Matters is the best company in the business. I sent 4K HDR from PC, PS5 and Nintendo Switch input to my LG TV and portable monitor. Switching between the sources works without problems. My only criticism is that the remote control is pretty weak. You need a very direct line of sight to the box for it to work. It's okay, but it would be nice to have a more powerful remote control.

Pros
  • Chic design
Cons
  • There are nuances

Causes streaks, especially with light blue skies

Disappointing. I've tried 2 different devices and both give the same streaking issue for 4K HDR content, especially with light blue skies and some off-white areas such as interior walls. the early morning sky of Wakanda and the walls of the museum at the beginning of the raid in Black Panther 4K UHD, the blue areas of the morning sky in the lighthouse frame of the last scene in Aquaman 4K UHD etc. Tried all sorts of settings etc but still the same problem. and the same thing happens when usingโ€ฆ

A huge upgrade over the previous Matrix/Switch.

When I decided to replace the previous 4X2 Matrix/Switch in my entertainment center I spent a month or more looking for what to buy. I tried another switch first but it was limited and didn't suit my needs. When I found this particular Matrix/Switch I was skeptical as there was very little reviews and information available. However, I REALLY knew and loved the Cable Matters brand from previous purchases, so I decided to give this device a try. I'm very glad I did this. The picture on my 4K TVโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The latest 4-port HDMI matrix supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) for the ultimate viewing experience. Enjoy vivid video with HDMI 2.0 (4:4:4 8-bit) support for video resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz, including 1080p; 16 flexible video settings with EDID control
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Works great for 4K 60Hz with HDR 10

I use this switch to have two displays. One is a 1080p TV and the other is the new Epson HC 3800 with 4K and HDR. This switch is ideal as Output B downscales 4K to 1080p for the TV. I have output B to the TV and output A to the projector. My source is a Roku Ultra set to 4K 60Hz HDR (the highest quality available on Roku). It took some trial and error with EDID to get this to work. I set the EDID switches to 1111 and had to tell Roku to force out 4K 60Hz HDR because it didn't recognize HDR inโ€ฆ

Pros
  • HDMI splitter cable supports most popular audio formats including Dolby Digital, DTS and 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound; Additional 3.5mm stereo audio output and optical Toslink for connecting an AV receiver or soundbar
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other options

The first was unsuccessful; The second works great for my setup!

Disclaimer/TLDR: I fixed some support issues, but when it works, it works as it should! The initial problems were due to a faulty first unit. The second matrix sent works like a charm! Be aware of black screens on the display between switching due to downscaling or input resolution and output resolution, this is normal. The audio output options are amazing. I'll buy another one and a spare. ** Image of my living room and desktop. **** Make sure the HDMI cables are not too thick. The matrixโ€ฆ
