First time great! on bathtub

A great little toilet at first glance. We have used it on several hikes and on a 5 month trip. We bought 2.6 gallons, 5 gallons would have been too heavy. It's easy to clean, easy to use, easy to fill. You fill water in the upper tank and use it for rinsing. Then pull the handle on the lower tank to flush. I give it 2 stars because the holding tank started leaking a few months after our trip. There's also a small gasket around the flush handle that has come loose and won't go back into place…

closest to reality I could find

As a test I used this a few days before draining. then completely cleaned. During this time, no odor was perceptible at all. to the point where I might even find it convenient to keep in a small space. There's a slight, brief, diaper-type smell when you flush (which is to be expected, since you're essentially opening a chasm and exposing processed waste for a moment). - The seat is a little shorter than my real toilet. At home. flash is good. I also spritz on a spray or two of bleach-based…

Road Trip & Camping – Game Changer Update

We drove 60 hours this summer and the potty is our victory. We use the Green Coleman Tank deodorant in fresh water and the smell is almost non-existent. We're throwing it away as soon as we can, although it was forgotten on a couple of rides with number 2, but it cleaned up great. I would take more as a full tank would be too heavy. I carried the trash can across the hotel lobby like a briefcase and didn't even get a scowl. A lot of time is saved because there is no longer any need to look for…

Very happy with this compact portable toilet

Very happy with this compact portable toilet. My wife and I sleep in a lovely loft in our Victorian cottage, but walking down a handmade spiral staircase at 3pm to answer nature's call has become uncomfortable with age (it happens). This Camco pot was a real find. I just flush it down the toilet every three to four days. I'm 6ft tall, so it was a bit uncomfortable for me to sit down (we only use it for #1, but the one who obeyed "recommended" me to sit down to avoid at all costs, like a man to…

ideal for stationary use

So I own this toilet and have been using it for almost a year now. I mainly use it for camping and in my Sprint van. The toilet is excellent for use in a situation where it is not being transported with liquid in the overhead cistern. For example, I use it when camping, put it in a small retreat tent, fill the upper rinse chamber, add some blue powder to the lower tank with some water and it's great. I usually find a park toilet that I have to empty after use. It gets heavy when full (even 2.6…

Very good camping toilet

A few days ago we used our new 2.6 gallon Camco toilet for the first time. It worked very well. First, it was nice to have a portable toilet in a pull out shower tent a few feet from where we slept. No midnight walks through a dirty campsite etc. We didn't even have to get fully dressed. We just put our underwear on in the "bathroom". My wife especially liked it! And since I even ordered the Camco, I've had a lot of positive feedback from my wife. I consider that a win! Second, we were both…

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Not as bulky as other options

Starts to smell even when deodorant is on. Lost a star. Very compact for storage. However, the toilet bowl and seat are almost the same size as a traditional toilet. I bought the smaller version as I needed it to slide under my camper bunk for storage. This variant makes the toilet low to the ground (about 12.5 inches), in contrast to the larger, taller version of this model, which is identical in design except that it's taller and has a larger tank capacity. This toilet has many great…

Pros
