Great fire blanket!

Arrived quickly, well packaged and just great overall! Now put this in my oven and it worked like a charm! I've used my oven three times (at 2000°F+) and it still looks brand new.

Pros
  • Ceramics and ceramics
Cons
  • No instructions

Great for my little knife flake toaster

I used to insulate a little toaster I use in the shop to bake stabilized wood knife flakes. 1" was too thick for my needs so I was able to separate it neatly into two 1/2" blankets. Be sure to wear a long sleeve shirt, disposable rubber gloves and N-95 respirator, this material will scratch and leave small particles. when you cut and shape it. Wash your clothes separately and shower afterwards if you don't want to be itchy all day. Very similar to old mineral wool if you've ever worked with it.

Pros
  • Manufacturing
Cons
  • High price
