First called Garmin and they wanted me to send them my Nuvi 270 int 'gps to be repaired at a great price for me. When I used the included car power adapter it charged the GPS but suddenly stopped navigating and behaved like it was connected to a PC, which disappointed me: I AM NOT COMING! ARGGGGGH. This is a great zero downtime solution and at a wonderful price. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

This charger/cigarette lighter cable is the perfect solution to a problem I (and many Harley riders) have. Most of these cigarette chargers are 4-5 inches long. This causes a problem with Harley Ultras and other touring models as they interfere with sharp turns, pushing the fork into the gas tank and being a hazard. This EDO Tech Mini Charger only protrudes 1/4" out of the cigarette lighter so it never gets near the gas tank. Glad I could find that!

The plug-in part is very small and a little difficult to pull out. Make sure you don't use a cable to pull it out as it can be tempting. The cable may be slightly thinner than the original cable and lacks the round "toroid" that is supposed to filter out interference. Despite all the things he seems to be missing, I still like him. I need an angled plug for my GPS in the RAM mount and a cable long enough to run from there, where the steering wheel is connected to the power adapter I had under my seat (motorcycle application). My original Nuvi power/traffic cable disconnected right where it connects to the 90" plug. Under the black case is a very thin strand of wire covered with insulation (this is the power supply). Surrounding this insulated core are numerous bare wires (they provide grounding). It is very similar to coaxial cable. The cable for this charger is much thinner than the original and easy to hide behind the upholstery in my car. It makes my car less cluttered and makes me happier because I no longer have this giant cable running around my dash. Note. This cable doesn't allow traffic updates on Garmin, but they still aren't available in places I go frequently.
