Charging Nintendo Switch Station Type C Review

As you can see from the photos I took, this charging station works well with standard joycon controllers but may not fit other types of controllers. I have two original NES style wireless controllers (official Nintendo, not 3rd party) and they don't fit in the charger. Otherwise an excellent product.

When we bought the Switch I was frustrated with the way the controllers needed to be charged. You just need to connect the switch and then connect the controllers. We have extra controllers because I have a lot of kids and it takes forever this way because you can only charge 2 at a time and it's slow. So I bought this. This works great! The indicators are red when the controllers are charging and green when charging is complete. We just stick controllers every night.

This thing is a piece of junk, it puts a strain on *some* of our controllers from time to time. When I try to dock all four without error, at least one indicator immediately turns green. It's like hitting a mole. Push one down, the other turns green, push one down, the other two turn green. The problem I see is that green is the color for both nothing in the dock and a fully charged controller. So you think it's charged, but in reality it never was. So frustrating when trying to play games…

Surprisingly, my family loves it. I just wanted to have a spot for the Switch controllers so they're not laying on the couch, but it's more than that. The lights are way brighter than they could be and it turns into a little glowing red and green art in the Corner. It was pretty damn cheap, so the manufacturer did a great job of making it fun and cheap at the same time. In addition, it simply does its job without any problems. You have to buy one. Right now. It really is that good.

In short, if you're looking for an affordable control charger then you've come to the right place. They do exactly what I need! My only cons: 1) I would like a longer power cord. The supplied one seems too short to me. 2) The device is very light which makes it fragile. He will worry about it falling or standing off the shelf and will expect it to break. PROS - Charges 4 OEM Nintendo Switch Controllers. Supplied with USB-C cable. Sturdy construction and heavy feel. Has an official look and feels at home next to the Switch.
