Wall Phone in Phones and Accessories

This phone has a very low volume, when it rings it's almost inaudible and I turned the speaker all the way up. I will return it if anything; I can try to find another wall phone with a louder ringer.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • I'll write later

Just right for my needs

This phone allows the ringer to be turned off completely by sliding the tab on the side of the phone (see images). Loudspeaker volume. The phone plugs easily into my existing outlet. The phone sits securely in the holder. Other than that it's nothing special but it's the best I've found so far and this style is getting harder and harder to find!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • So far so good

Works perfectly. Yes, it's ugly and dated, but it works!

I built my house 37 years ago with a wall phone jack on the wall next to my pantry. A long cord (sold separately) allows the phone to be used in my large kitchen. Over the years I've tried to find a good modern phone to hang on a stupid wall, but for many reasons none of these have worked properly. The last straw when we were on vacation was that the phone fell off the receiver. In the end I just gave up and bought this old fashioned ugly phone that works great and won't fall off the wall.

  • Stable test results

  • There are other interesting options.

Decent phone is the best among landline phones

I like a phone that has no buttons on the handset. Much easier to deal with button presses for automated menus and such. When I first set the phone up, the ringing seemed very faint. I had to fiddle with the ringer volume control to get it to work at all. I thought I would have to return the phone but once I got it working everything has been fine since. I have the volume on my handset turned up to maximum, wouldn't rely on that if you have hearing problems. If you're like me and still use a…

Broke after a few weeks

Funny that I can't post any pictures this time. If this was an antique piece made in the 80's I wouldn't be upset that the plastic broke within a few weeks. Given that this product was only recently made in 80's style, it only suggests that the manufacturer didn't pay attention to quality and durability. I've made about 5 phone calls in the past few weeks and I'm on the phone as normal. During my last phone call today, I noticed that the phone had a crack and the whole upper part was slowly…

If you just want a basic phone with pure sound quality. . .

I was fed up with the clicking and other background noise on my landline phone and ordered this as a replacement. It seems to be built pretty well. It feels heavy and solid, not at all like the typical wall phones found in big stores. The sound quality is excellent, the volume control works well. The cable is a bit short, so you might want to upgrade it. Finally, the bell (which also has a volume control) has a unique sound; Old-fashioned and mechanical is the best way I can describe it. So…

Durable and reliable.

I bought this phone for our business use, we needed something durable and it's perfect. The look didn't really matter as I knew it would just be covered in bondo and paint, but before that it looked pretty cute. The phone is already quite battered and still works perfectly. I really like how heavy and sturdy this phone is, it reminds me of the phone we had growing up. We didn't have any and needed a longer cord, so I cut and stripped the 4-wire phone cord we had laying around, crimped on some…

turns off after 5 minutes

I bought this phone for my office room. Wanted a durable wall phone and liked that it was made in the USA. The phone looks and works just like the old wall phones. However, it is not the same. First, the call is rude and there doesn't appear to be any volume control for the call. it's either loud or off. I could accept it. What I cannot accept is that about a week ago the phone turns itself off after about 5 minutes of conversation. If you hang up and call back immediately, the phone works…

If you love your landline and hate dead batteries, this phone is for you!

If you hate dead cordless phones (and I do!), cell phone disconnects or a bad connection on one of them (and I love it!), and you love your landline phone (and I love - you'll get it from rip my cold, dead fingers), then this is the phone for you. I needed a new wall phone because my trusty Western Electric finally died after 45 years (they don't make it anymore) so I started looking for a replacement. Ordered this because unfortunately Western Electric and AT&T no longer make wall phones. I'm…
