If you use it occasionally

, it gets the job done with minimal cost. If it's something that gets used a lot, spend the extra money and get the Browning, which feels lighter in the hand, has a more economical design, and comes with a case [$29.95 but your hands will thank you at the end of the day].

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Suitable for

It works, but it's not easy or intuitive to use.

The split ring or snap rings are difficult to install. I've used this for smaller ones and with practice I was able to get it working. It's just not easy and not very intuitive - you have to position the clip a short distance from the end, push slowly and carefully and have someone hold the bucket (the hole in the flange) so you can slide the clip with two hands. on, then wrap through the hole. It would be interesting to see a better design.

Works but bad.

They SEPARATE the rings, but barely (maximum 1mm) and it takes a lot of force to position the ring just enough to separate them and not just pinch them. Also, the paint is peeling all over the place and it looks like the metal tip will quickly dull and become unusable. Had I known, I would have spent the extra $6 on one of the others I've seen that show significantly better splits in user-uploaded photos like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Xuron-496 -Split - ring…

Love it! quality goods!

I am so glad I have this item. At first I was skeptical about the quality of the instrument because of the low price. But this article is very much. Works just as well as other brands that are 2 or 3 times more expensive. What I like about this tool is that the handle is very strong and thick, which is very convenient when you work with your hands for a long time. Smaller pens will hurt your palm if you use them for a long time. So I really like the thicker grip. Cozy. Will probably buy another

Key ring, pliers, split ring

Cousin Craft jewelry pliers were just what I needed for key rings. I have arthritis and it can be difficult for me to manipulate my thumb ring like I used to. The pliers are easy to use and have to be handled more and more often, the key ring opens easily and with a little forward pressure I can widen the neck of the ring for larger keys or objects. The only complaint I would have is that they are a bit small, but that's probably because they were designed for jewelry making. Thank you for…

Pros
  • Jewelry making tools and supplies
Cons
  • So far so good
