Cozyours 8 Inch Cotton Candle Wicks with Wick Stickers (50/50-Pack) - Pre-Waxed, Pretabbed Wicks for Candle Making Review

I made black candles last night and unfortunately the wicks don't hold. I'm waiting to see if it burns well, but I suspect it will burn out quickly. Love the stickers they include to make the wick work. *Update* So I made green candles and my wick burned all day. Maybe the black dye doesn't work well with the wicks.

Good value for money however the wick tends to detach from the metal disc after I attach it to the candle jar bottle. Even socks don't burn as well as some other wicks. I used soy wax for my candle but they don't last long because the wicks burn out too quickly. I haven't had a single candle burn out completely with these wicks. I eventually got rid of them, although they weren't too expensive and the sticky metal disc made them easy to work with.

I am very happy with these wicks. We've used them to make a few small soy candles as well as a few store-bought melted and poured candles (paraffin I guess). The inclusion of double-sided adhesive wick stickers makes it very easy to place and hold the wick on the bottom of the glass jar, and one less purchase if you want to try making a candle for the first time. So far we haven't had any problems lighting candles - the wicks burn for several hours without any problems. Overall I am satisfied…

This is my first time trying these wicks and I use a mixture of soywax 464 and beeswax (1lb soy with 3 tablespoons white beeswax) . I like to use stickers to attach the wicks to the jar, although these stickers seem a bit too big. My only complaint is that after pouring the wax at around 120 degrees, these wicks became soft and crooked, as if the melting point of the pre-waxed wick was too low (or did I pour too hot?). THEY WORK WITH PRACTICALLY ANY WAX AND ANY SIZE! I've been making candles since 1969, the wicks are very good. If you are making a very thick candle you can gently twist 2 or 3 of them together. For short candles cut the wicks shorter, for other short candles use the cut ends. I used and cast them with the stickers that came with them. A few details before I start the review: This is my first time making candles, so my work is now experimental. I use a cheap wax pillar candle, 10-pack Playskool colored pencils (and some more wax), a dollar store about 2 inches in diameter, and P&J Trading Bubble Gum scent. I used a pink crayon, 8 drops of fragrance oil and enough wax to fill about 2/3 of the votive. The candle ended with a gap between the rim of the glass and the wick.
