Description of CPU cooler ID-COOLING IS-40X, black/white

ID-Cooling IS-40X is a CPU cooler that is perfect for building compact systems. Despite the modest dimensions, the cooler has an impressive efficiency. It will do an excellent job of cooling the processor, while maintaining a fairly low noise level. The ID-Cooling IS-40X has a height of only 45 mm and is capable of dissipating 100 watts of heat. The cooler''s heatsink is made of aluminum, the base fits perfectly to the processor over its entire area. The fan can rotate at 600 - 2500 rpm, producing an airflow of 44.3 CFM at maximum speed. The maximum noise level is 33 dBa. Installation of this ...

No minuses as such, comfortable to use.

For its price, versatility for all platforms and height dimensions feel quite cheerful among competitors for cooling stones of the initial and middle price range in compact cases with a strict limitation on the height of the cooler.

Pros
  • Packaging, equipment and appearance made a good impression. Flat outsole Easy to install and does not take up much space on a mini-itx board. Availability of mounting brackets for AM4
Cons
  • Noisy at maximum speed, but not intrusive.

Money to nowhere, poor quality of the goods.

I do not recommend to buy. During installation, the bolts do not even reach the grooves in the motherboard (see photos) and you have to tighten the bolts "by eye" and with a slight overzealousness, you can bend and kill the motherboard.

Pros
  • Price and availability
Cons
  • No back plate

Reliable purchase, guaranteed to be a good one.

I was puzzled with the installation, a non-standard solution. but it seems to hold and fit securely. I installed a processor on a 35w, there are definitely no problems with cooling.

Pros
  • Low, sort of quiet.
Cons
  • Didn't notice

There was a stock turntable from 9100F and it hummed very strongly, it cooled terribly. I bought this one, yes, I have to install it by turning the motherboard upside down. I don’t know who is afraid to overtighten the bolts, turn on your head when you tighten it and everything will be ok. It works now in idle 10% and in games at 50% and this is in a small case of 5 liters

Pros
  • Low, Quiet, Black, PWM
Cons
  • well, the toad was choking, but it's worth its money

The item is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

I'll start with the good: small size, quiet, quite efficient. In a mini-ITX case with an i3 processor, it is practically inaudible, the temperature at maximum load did not exceed 55 degrees. Now the bad news: the mounting on the 1155 socket is extremely unfortunate, the threaded bushings are 1 mm longer, the cooler base simply does not reach the processor cover! I had to grind. The sole is specifically curved, in the center there is a deflection of 0.5 mm! I had to grind on a piece of glass to…

Pros
  • Compact
Cons
  • Curved sole, fastening

The right product for me, there were no problems.

I took it for ryzen 5 2600, after a month of use I can say that the cooler is good and it is enough. At idle, the temperature is 40, with a load of more than 56, I did not rise. Moreover, I have an ancient small case with a top-mounted power supply unit, one 80 fan for blowing out, and nothing for blowing in Its pros: The cooler itself is good, cheaper than in dns for 200r, packed well, thermal paste in a tube, not in bags, as is usually the case in budget solutions Got cons: I took it on am4…

A valuable purchase, some advantages!

A good compact cooler, taken for the Ryzen 4600g processor. The diameter of the turntable is somewhere around 8-9 cm, the radiator is connected to the base with four copper tubes on one side. I am satisfied with the noise level and temperature, somewhere around 34-35 degrees in the system without load, the computer is not for games, there are almost no other heat sources in the case, so when buying, look at your needs and tasks.

Pros
  • Inexpensive, compact
Cons
  • There is a little noise, but I expected worse from this size

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

For a long time I read about all sorts of coolers, the task was to cool the Core i7 9700 (without K). It has 65 watts TDP "according to the passport", but looking ahead I will say that all its 8 full-fledged cores, of course, give out 100 watts under load. So, this cooler withstood a temperature of 95 degrees in a stress test, in which the boxed cooler, which is completely aluminum, immediately went over 100 degrees, and the percentage, respectively, in TermalTrolling. Yes, the revolutions were

Pros
  • Compact, quiet and performs as advertised.
Cons
  • No fasteners on the back of the motherboard type bekplein.

Honest cooler for AM4. Suitable for Hong Kong 2600 (stock or easy overclocking). Probably going to 2400G and guaranteed to 2200G TDP is holding up. Under easy overclocking 3.7GHz for all cores, the Hong Kong 2600 withstood OCCT which ran 96-108 watts - peak 75 degrees Celsius, vrm - did not warm up, under aida (80 watts) - 63 degrees Celsius

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

Fits perfectly into the thin mini itx system (which surprised me unspeakably - I got into the mini-box M350 and fit on the Intel DH61AG). For such a price tag, he simply has no competitors. After changing the image, it can be put in open cases (that's where it was when I built the system in Powerman EQ-101?). Its pros: 1) All the advantages of the standard is-40v3 have been preserved - easy installation, noise level. 2) Listening to the buyers, they made an excellent appearance and packaging…

The comment stems from a shortcoming . I bought this cooler for am4 mothers, I did not pay attention to the type of attachment . After 2 weeks of use, the mother arched that PPC . And that might kill her. This disadvantage could be easily eliminated, at least for the AM4 socket, make the manufacturer screw up like on a standard back and put longer bolts . The photo shows how the mother arched after 2 weeks of use (immediately after removal, the gap was even larger Then this cooler would be…

Pros
  • -Price - Heat dissipation level -Compactness
Cons
  • -Fastening

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

IMHO for the money it's top! I bought it for 900 and it's stupid to expect a backplate for that price. If your hands are crooked and you are afraid to overdraw, then please pay more for the cooler. for am4 socket: The backplate problem is solved in half an hour with a minimum tool: a screwdriver, a 4 mm drill, a hacksaw, a needle file. We take a native backplate from the mother (or as I order on Ali for 150 r), drill the fasteners in it, cut them down to 1 mm, buy screws and nuts m3 x 15 mm in…

Pros
  • price-quality ratio, quiet enough, looks alright!
Cons
  • no backplate, no backlight

The product suited me, I will recommend it to my friends.

Works in an ultra-compact case - the maximum height of the cooler is 47 mm. Now it is on the i5-4670, which migrated from the main PC (84 watts, judging by the spec). At idle 35-40 degrees, the fan spins at 1100-1300 rpm, you can't hear it at all. In a stress test of 65-70 degrees, the fan is + -1700 rpm, a slight hum appears. Since the task is in maximum silence, I decided to change the fan. In the same size (and the thickness of the fan here, by the way, 15 mm) is only noctua nf-a9x14. I took

Pros
  • Looks good, cools well
Cons
  • the fan is not perfect (but excellent for the money), it is not put to say that it is very convenient

Many in the reviews wrote that mounting the cooler is unsafe due to the lack of a backplate, someone even foolishly tightened it so that the motherboard was bent. If you have claws instead of hands, then yes, this cooler is not for you. I screwed the bolts with my fingers, first to the stop, then tightened them half a turn with a screwdriver, and you're done! The contact is quite tight, the cooler does not move aside under physical impact, which means that this is quite enough. Nothing bends…

Pros
  • Appearance, cooling efficiency, quiet cooler (at least for me), thermal paste in the syringe included (although I did not use it and smeared it according to the classic gd-900)
Cons
  • Non-standard mount (attached with plates from the kit, the backplate will have to be removed)

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I thought it would be better, but overall not bad.

1. In order to fix the cooler, you will have to completely remove the motherboard and twist the cooler, holding it up. And manage to center, and still not smear the thermal paste in all directions. 2. Attached to socket 1155. And the cooler does not reach the processor! Approximately 1.5mm. I had to sharpen the legs of the cooler to lower it. In general, the most terrible mount that I met

Pros
  • Cools well
Cons
  • Fastening
