Stop spending more on a specific version.

KM636 is the wireless version of Dell KM216 and MS116 models. A good thing. The original version was merged with Logitech, modified versions became generic for Dell.(1) Same idea. 1 key for 6 devices. Unfortunately they are not cross compatible and Dell does not sell replacement keys. (2) KB requires 2 AAA and Mouse requires 1 AA. KB and M have physical slide switches to turn them off. Mine was wrapped in Duracell for OEM batteries. 4-star rating because replacement keys are…

it has sticky keys or keys that don't work randomly

is a great keyboard when it comes to hardware keys. The keys are soft and pressed just right. This was the keyboard I'd always wanted up until then and it happens randomly, you press a key, it can happen at any time and the keyboard registers multiple keystrokes. Mouse and keyboard work. I love this keyboard style. I recently used a friend who prompted me to buy one of these chiclet style KBs. Since Day 1, I haven't had any of the backlogs, jumps, or repeat emails that others have reported. My problem is the packaging and shipping; the box wasn't even sealed. It was essentially a piece of cardboard that Dell stuffed into a complete PC shipping kit with a shipping label on the front. The documentation was thrown in the box. The batteries were there but…

Works best in Computers & Accessories category

I was looking for a wireless keyboard for work and turned down another keyboard that was on my wish list. The reason I chose this one is because the picture shown in the description looked exactly like my wired keyboard with a backlit lid and combination lock. I thought I was already used to my keyboard so why not stick with what I know. The keyboard that arrived didn't have a backlight, which was very disappointing to me. I don't understand why this isn't a standard feature, especially since…
