Works perfectly! for carburetor

I drove a Ford 460 for about a year. I noticed a small leak in the gaskets. Recently taken off for inspection, found that all screws are slightly loose. You might want to keep this in mind for a run-in. I think after a couple of good heat cycles and a bit of time it needs to be tightened up again. otherwise it works great.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • I don't remember

Works out of the box

I really like this carburetor. I took it out of the box, attached it to a fresh 406 SBC and my camera came apart with no problem. It's really easy to assemble, the instructions are great and it looks good. It's also extremely easy to disassemble to swap things out or adjust floats etc. The only downside to this carburetor is that you have to use a Demon air filter to put it on the choke or use a large washer. But it could hit your hood. I bought a Demon air filter and it has plenty of room.

Pros
  • Easy set up
Cons
  • Replacement available

Worked immediately on a long standing engine.

I built this car on a 1965 Thunderbird with a 390 engine. The engine fired right out of the box and sat for years. Definitely a plus. I found that the drop down gear linkage was bent and didn't work. I bent it back into shape slightly, but I don't know how it was ever bent in the original packaging. Still having problems with the operation of the electric throttle, the throttle does not open n9 no matter how long the machine runs. Maybe it just needs to be adjusted.

I've had a lot of good reviews and a few bad ones

I've asked a lot of questions about this carburetor. I had a lot of good reviews and a few bad ones. I ordered it 6 days ago and arrived early. I followed the directions given for installation. In 35 degree weather, I hit the gas pedal three times and it fired with a kick as if it were fuel injection. It revived my 1977 351w Ranchero! I'm impressed with this carbohydrate. I once had an Edelbrock 600 and had great starting difficulties, the difference between day and night. I will buy another…

Installation was as easy as any other carburetor

This is a solid carburetor and a fresh take on an old design. I replaced the old and spirited Holley 4160 with this one. Installation was as easy as any other carburetor, mounts to a standard square flange, and has a larger AFB footprint than Holley. No problems with connections and cables, throttle cable and C6 kickdown installed unchanged. The performance is good but I still miss Holley. It idles VERY quiet and is surprisingly easy to set up. It was near-optimal from the start - I drive a…

I love the look and the design

I love the look and the design. My buddy put two demons on his 455 TA and they came right out of the box as they claim along with the videos I watched before ordering mine. Well mine didn't do that well, didn't come out of the box at all, didn't even pop. I knew my fuel system was fine because I had just built an engine and a whole new fuel system and I drilled an old hole in it during break-in, but that carburetor blew. I had a lot of time and money in my truck preparing for a big car show so…

Nicely built carburetor, great performance, nice packaging

If you've installed carburetors before, you'll be glad to know that installing this new design won't surprise you. It is very easy to install and virtually all the fasteners you need for installation are included. Your setup may require special throttle/transmission connection bits, sold separately. Performance is pretty good right out of the box. I bought two and installed the last purchase today on my 1968 Cadillac Eldorado with a 472ci engine. Fuel delivery is quick and very smooth. From an…

Really good carbs! in parts

I bought this carburettor to replace the original AFB on my 1966 Pontiac 2+2. It works well right out of the box. On this particular engine I had to reroute the PCV lines and use a carburetor base fitting instead of the factory intake manifold fittings. This was a relatively minor change that actually makes for a cleaner look as the PCV duct is now hidden behind the air cleaner. The e-choke works very well. The electric choke further reduced underhood clutter by removing the heater tubes that…

just wonderful. I replaced the 650 cfm holly with one.

is amazing. I replaced the 650 cfm holly with this vacuum secondary carburetor from this 1901 Demon. I, like others, was a little concerned about using this smaller carb and having performance issues. The old Holly carburetor drove me to hysterics trying to tune it to my needs. I could never get it right. Like other people, I have watched many videos and read forums about these sacred demonic carbs. some good news and some bad news. So I decided to try one out to see how it compares to the old…
