Labor protection against hate.

Love the fact that it keeps my wiring from burning out. I only wish I had bought one that had velcro to put the harness on. Now I know more money, but it will be worth covering all the areas that are in the header area. The thing works!

Cons
  • Definitely Bad Product

This DEI thermal jacket is a great item but expensive

Listen if you need it, it's worth it. It works and protects cables or hoses as intended. I think it's a little pricey but you buy this for solid protection and that's what you get. Of course there are other things like this, but I paid for the security that DEI offers. Used to protect the 1/0 jump lead on my LS truck engine from manifold heat.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Minor issues

To do this, the line must be deactivated.

I've always had good experiences with DEI products, but I think this list is a bit misleading. If you look at the listing you will see a video that very clearly shows the velcro on the product. This would mean that the product can be applied to the lines without removing them first, which is not the case. Again, the product is great value and performs well, but I think this list could be a bit clearer.

  • Dope 🔥

Fast Shipping: Fumes & Emissions

I used a 3/4" x 3 ft. sleeve. It was used around a 0 AWG (8.25mm) starter cable that was in close proximity to the Catalyst was installed The starter magnet wires were double shielded so I folded the 3/4" jack and used stainless steel cable ties to hold the folded jack around the 0 AWG wire. + Looks like quality materials. + Good Seams - Large valve with company logo (Clear solution with logo - removed valve for a cleaner installation)

Expensive heat shield but worth it

Bought a 1 inch heat shield to protect the diesel heater exhaust from a fuel line meltdown. The cheap Chinese stuff works fine, but this stuff is way better. The inner fiberglass insulation is covered with a more durable aluminum alloy outer coating. It's very easy to slide down the 1" exhaust pipe and remove the heat from the plastic fuel line. I had an 8" extra and I also covered the fuel lines so I have double protection. I highly recommend spending the extra money on goodies when it comes…

So far so good: spare parts

I needed thermal protection for a pair of 16 AWG GXL wire. . I mean yes the wiring is a good 6 inches apart but why risk it as melted wires will cause a short that could start a fire? This bushing slipped through the harness with some maneuvering since I ordered a 1/2" thermal sleeve and the loom was 1/4", but that was my downfall. Finally, it does exactly what I wanted and protects the wiring from extreme temperatures in the engine compartment. Now I haven't taken the car for a nice long…

Nothing exploded!

Okay, maybe the name is a little fake, but it's supposed to protect against that, right? Do not ignite flexible fuel lines. Two of these and a heat shield are installed next to my new engine and they are all fine. I check them regularly and find no damage. Benefits* Easy to Use - Unpack, insert fuel line or other heat sensitive wire or pipe. Put it in its place. Stay safe.* Exact size. 0.5" ordered, 0.5" received. Another one I got was .75" and it was accurate too. Cons * Slightly flimsy fabric

Heat protection for transport lines next to the collector.

I have these for my metal transmission cooler lines that run alongside my new long tubes to keep the lines/transmission fluid as cool as possible. I used them because I had a recovery transfer and could move them around the lines. WARNING: Wear gloves when installing them because they contain fiberglass and it will get stuck in your fingers and irritate you for days (don't ask me how I know). They weren't as flexible and bendable as I was hoping to get around the pre-bent metal trans-lines and…
