Works as it should.

He does what he has to do. Didn't find any error in it. Stays securely attached to the back of my Xiegu X108g and transmits a signal to/from a homemade dipole.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Compatibility

A must have in your radio shop

Well made connectors and something every ham, scanner or SWL operator should have in their radio shop. Well made and works with no problems.

Pros
  • Well made
Cons
  • Appearance

Absolutely useless. Part PL-259 is fully bolted.

Absolutely useless. The PL-259 part screws completely onto the SO-239, but the BNC never snaps into place. The thread should probably be 5mm shorter.

Pros
  • Very good value
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Beautiful view. Best in Floor Changers

These items are beautiful to look at, but they generate HF noise and seem to have gap tolerance issues, so don't feel worthwhile. You can wiggle them and it's difficult to turn them off from the BNC side.

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • Update Available

Can't dress properly

I have an FCC Amateur Extra and an FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License. The threaded collar on the PL-259 fork, as others have noted, is too long. It hits the mating socket before it can be fully tightened. With this plug I was able to move the plug lugs by turning them and thereby push out the ring a few millimeters. Since I'm using them for a pure RF application, it works. However, if it were a transfer request, it would be totally inappropriate. I do not recommend this plug.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Nothing

Threaded part of PL259 is too long

Threaded part of PL259 case is too long. The PL259 cylinder bumps against the body of what I'm connecting to in front of the shield "bolts" (the part of PL259 that engages the lugs on the end of SO239 to prevent cable and pin rotation), even with contact the ridges of SO239. The connector is tightened, but the cable and BNC connector continue to rotate when the PL259 housing is lowered. This could damage the internal pin along with the connector on the SO239 it is connected to. I think it willโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • There are some nuances

This review was written by Amanda's husband, the user of this product. This item is of typical cheap Chinese quality. Such little things as the dimensions of such a plug often come "close" in Chinese production, it seems. The threaded shank of the connector is about a tenth of an inch or so too long. The thread is fully tightened, but the edge of the barrel meeting the SO-239 it's screwed onto stops the rotation, not the base of the inside of the adapter as it should. So there is so much freeโ€ฆ
