Not worth sending back and not using.

These adapters do not fit snugly enough on the SMA connectors of Icom R5, Yaseu VX7R, Uniden BCD-396T/XT etc. SMA connector. Using these adapters without a washer may damage the SMA connector. It is better to spend the extra money and order from a reputable company. Compared to the SMA to BNC adapter that comes with the Uniden BCD-396T and XT models, the SMA side is about half the size it should be. On these adapters, the center pin of the SMA actually protrudes from the base, so the adapter…

good product in computer accessories and peripherals

All of these are one piece devices, easy to use, with a large knurled nut to grip, good for connecting the radio antenna I was holding. Not suitable for the tight connections on the back of my radios where everything is cramped and cramped together.

Perfect fit for my TYT UV-MD390

I use BNC on all my 2m radios for easy switching between antennas. This is perfect for my TYT radio. I was concerned because the SMA connector is countersunk, but the outside diameter of this adapter is almost the same as the antenna. I don't know how this will affect the 390 waterproofing, but I plan to coil up a thin bead of RTV silicone. edge of the connector to be sure.

This is the wrong part again!

The adapter looks really good, but I have two SMA female to BNC female (see photo). An SMA man is supposed to be a BNC woman! When I first returned it I assumed it was just an accidental mistake, but now I think there's a big female-to-female basket labeled SMA Male to BNC Female. I'll send it again. Just too short.

Good quality item. I was looking for an adapter for my portable radio with a wide base around the SMA connector. Unfortunately there is a gap between the radio housing and the adapter. I'll have to come up with some kind of padding to fill that gap. This is where a 3D printer would come in handy. It might be too much to expect an adapter to fit in the case, but it looks like the adapter's wide base was designed for this application. Otherwise it's a great product.

When I was still working I had a guy who "modified" the hex bolt so I found something similar, just dug it up and saw a little rust on the "cover". . I wanted something "nice" and made it the way I think it should have been done many years ago; but as you know "one size does NOT fit all". Listen again, I haven't used this yet, but I'm hoping for good results. Edit: 30th November 2016 Just an additional note, I finally got around to using one of these on my Yeasu FT2D portable radio which I…

Perfect fit for my Radioddity GD-77. Almost perfect for my Kenwood TH-F6.

very nice to see that it fits perfectly with my Radioddity GD-77. It also fits my Kenwood TH-F6A, although there is a very small gap between the adapter and the top of the radio when screwed tight. I'll probably buy or make a very thin washer to spread the load from the adapter a little better over the radio's body. I am also very satisfied with the quality. Absolute recommendation and I would buy it again.

Great addition to your HT for a quick antenna change

Great addition to a HT with SMA jack (Kenwood HT in my case). The base rests on top of the HT chassis, so the SMA connector doesn't have to take the brunt of the impact I put my whip antenna through. This allows me to quickly and easily switch between the antenna in my car and the whip to take with me. Excellent connection, no additional resistance or impedance with this connector compared to a bare antenna. by W8BIT

    Great little adapters

I wanted one of the adapters for my Kenwood portable radio. The electrical connection seems to be good. In any case, it works noticeably better than the cheap connector I had in my parts collection. I like that this plug has a wide base. This is meant to take some of the strain off the radio's SMA connector, but it doesn't screw in tight enough to touch the radio's case. So before installing the adapter I put a rubber washer (1/4" ID, 1/2" OD, 1/16" thick) on the SMA connector of the radio…

Not worth sending back and not using.

These adapters do not fit snugly on the SMA connectors of Icom R5, Yaseu VX7R, Uniden BCD-396T/XT etc. Basically they need a thick strain relief washer for the SMA connector. Using these adapters without a washer may damage the SMA connector. It is better to spend the extra money and order from a reputable company.
