Donald Pliner Slip Black Stretch Review

This is a great pair of men's shoes. Actually this is my second pair. I had to officially retire my old pair after wearing them for over a year. They are perfect for medium and/or narrow feet. However, you may be out of luck if you have wider feet. They are made of soft leather that adapts perfectly to the shape of your foot. Offers good sole and arch support. They have a modern, narrow toe that is very trendy right now. Very happy and will be buying for years to come.

Terrible. I wore these shoes for a little over a month and only wore them to the office. Yesterday I took them outside for the first time and felt like they were broken enough already. At first I was just uncomfortable walking in them, but when I returned to the office I checked and saw that the sole on one shoe had been completely torn off from the toe to the middle of the foot. I didn't even think to look, but after about 2 hours I looked at another shoe and the inside of the sole also came…

I was on a mission to buy shoes that weren't made in China. (Not that sometimes there isn't a great product made in China). In any case, they are made in Italy, the quality of the leather is excellent, the shoes are first class. I have fairly wide feet and the top stretches. they are tapered to the front and have a narrow/restricting effect. So. looks great but sacrifices some comfort for wide feet like me. All in all, I'm still glad I have them. I wear them several times a week.

I am a big fan of beautiful laceless shoes and they are just amazing! Finding them in my size at this price was a great find. The shoes are true to size and are very well made.

I bought Chelsea boots, first week the strap came off, third week the boots ripped at the seam between sole and upper, I'm really pissed, I paid over $200, what a joke

Maybe it's the size. I tried size 10 and it was big enough that my heel kept slipping off. Size 9.5 fits but fingers really hurt. Now I have beautiful and expensive shoes that I never wear. :(

I tried different shoes: Bostonian, Rockport, Cole Haan, Hugo Boss, Magnanni, they are all made in Italy but this one is my favorite. The skin is so soft and fits snugly against the leg that you'll fall off as if nothing happened. Now I love the Donald J. flats.

The suede material is not that good on these shoes. I bought two pairs, one pair was black, it doesn't look like black, they look like brown. except that they are fine. but as I said, the suede could have been much better on both shoes.

My husband loves these shoes. He says it's one of the most comfortable shoes he owns. However, they don't wear $250 shoes. I try to find it on sale as it wears them out much quicker than other shoes, but it's hard to find it on sale. This is his favorite pair especially when he is traveling or staying for a long time and they look great he gets lots of compliments in this shine.

Good shoes. But the sole just fell apart after a year. I wore them to work almost every day but expected that for $250 they would hold up better.

I ordered one here and upon arrival I examined it closely and was suspicious of how defective it was. I then compared it to the model on the manufacturer's website and there were too many design differences between the shoes I got on Ebay and Donald J. Pliner's website. Also, I bought the shoes from the manufacturer's website and each came with a piece of plastic to help the heel slide into the back of the shoe, which wasn't here. I then concluded that maybe it was a kickstart so I sent it back

The bottom/sole of the shoe came off after the 2nd or 3rd wear. Normal wear and tear. I have owned the same brand/model of shoes for 3-5 years and they have had no problems.

Great fit shoe, very comfortable and very pretty BUT it scratches too easily and one of them ruined the shoe. Another type of leather would have given this shoe 5 stars.

I bought Donald Pliner's shoes because they had to be of the highest quality. However, after wearing the shoe about twenty times, the sole completely separated from the shoe body. Not exactly a sign of craftsmanship on the part of the manufacturer. I don't think I will buy again.

Top quality shoes. I will be looking at this brand in addition to Cole Haan who I have been a loyal customer of for over a decade.

These are very nice, stylish and comfortable shoes that have lasted about 4.5 months if worn 3-4 days a week. Their sleek appearance is partly due to the supple leather on top of the upper, making for a very comfortable yet comfortable shoe. The shoes arrived with a shoehorn which is needed. The problem is that the stretch leather upper was torn (both shoes on the same day). If the shoes had lasted longer I would give them five stars.

I have 3 pairs of rex. I bought them online somewhere else for next to nothing. I had to buy 10 pairs. The Donald J Pliner Rex is easily the best dress shoe of all time. I wear them almost every day. I've been wearing them to work for 3 years and they look almost brand new. Donald Jay, you did it right, mate!
