    It looks like a real FTDI. Works perfectly.

    Not fake like many other "FTDI" devices. You can tell it's not fake because it can be programmed using FTDI's FTPROG utility. Fakes cannot be programmed. I'm using this to interface to PIC and Atmel microcontrollers using Great Cow BASIC. Has worked great so far. The case is made of very nice transparent plastic. Works at 230400 baud! Pay extra money and get real FTDI Ft232RL chip.

    The perfect device!: Serial adapters

    Worked absolutely perfectly! I bought this to flash NAND on my DJI Phantom Vision 2+ which was having the famous black screen of death. Downloaded the FTDI driver and exited with no issues. The transparent case that protects all the electronics is a great finishing touch. Also, I believe this is a genuine FTDI chip which I know is used in many less expensive devices. Spend the extra and get this. no problem. No problem. no regrets buyers.

    Sounds plausible. Good design. Pay attention to the color coding.

    I won't award 5 points because the supplied ribbon cable has a nonsensical color coding. I expect V and GND to be red and black and match the pinout. There are red and black wires in the ribbon, but connect CTD and TX. If you are very used to the color coding of power cables, this can lead to an error, possibly even destroying the circuit board.

    Worked great one day - then stopped

    I bought this to have a case to program my Arduino. The old one works fine for me but I'm concerned about the open fee. Only after a day it didn't work. Could I have done something wrong? I'm unlikely to find myself on an ESD protected workbench and I've been using my open board converter for years with no problems. My computer didn't switch between a working device and not. What I liked: - The case is well made, protects the board from accidental contact with some other wires on the stand.…

    Worked great - used to be good for computers and accessories

    Used it to install an Arduino bootloader on some STM32F103. worked fine Update: I had a problem with STM32, I wanted to reflash the bootloader and couldn't start it. Tried a second STM32, couldn't flash it. I then looped through the FT232 connecting TXD to RXD and connecting via putty to verify it was the card. Of course, RXD stopped working. So it worked once, kept in an anti-static bag for about a week, and then when I needed it again it didn't work.

    I assume this product will work, although I'll probably ask for a refund. Obviously it wasn't damaged in transit, it was clearly damaged at the factory. FYI, these products have been sold for under $5 paid double for a bare board because i liked the idea of a sealed unit that looks solid in a clear plastic case that i bought from revain and expected a quality product as pictured i have a feeling to have gotten less now my case is broken so i deduct two stars.

    Nicely built machine.

    Acrylic outer case is a nice feature. The voltage selection jumper is still easily accessible. The wires at the end of the target device are separated by separate connectors, so you can connect it to things with weird pins. With this I have successfully programmed the Arduino pro mini.

    Inaccurate picture.

    Not the easiest thing to use, but you'll probably get by as you probably won't buy this if you don't. Mine didn't come in a case. In the photo there is a case. Hell, I'd use the shrink tubing. I want a deal right away.

    Supplied with ribbon cable

    I used it to program my Icom IC-2100H and Icom IC-2820H amateur radio. Very fast on my desktop, took about 5 seconds to read. I set the voltage jumper to "3.3 volts". For Icom radios, a 1N914 jumper or other switching diode between "RXD" and "TSD", with the cathode (the part with the lead) labeled "TXD" and the anode labeled "RXD" connected is. Then run a cable from "RXD" to the "ring" of the 3.5mm jack plug (for headphones) and connect "GND" to the "shield" of the 3.5mm jack plug.

    USB TTL Adapter

    Adapter looks good and works perfectly. I had a little trouble with it on the first Windows 10 machine I tried using it on, but that was my fault. I had another device with FTDI drivers installed on my computer and since the device was active when I plugged in the adapter, it didn't recognize the new device. I used it on another PC and loaded the driver and the device worked fine. You need some kind of terminal program to use this and being familiar with Tera Term I used that. It works great…

FYI, this one Products Sold for a fee less than $5 I paid twice as much because I liked the idea of a sealed device that looks solid in a clear plastic case I bought from Revain and expected a quality product, like can be seen in the photo I feel I got it less value now with the case broken hence I have to deduct two stars.
