This is a Garmin mount that attaches to the back of the device you want to attach to the Garmin bike mount. It works fine on my bike computer and will most likely work with a regular sized smartphone.

At first I wiped the case with alcohol, but I think you won't get 3M glue at this price point. Must use the leash trick suggested by another reviewer. The adapter fits my Garmin mount well.

I use it for decoration not my bike computer. I wanted to use it as a camera but didn't realize that this mount is flat and I doubt it will support the weight and movement of a heavier camera (the one I wanted to use is a Garmin VIRB bullet camera). But it works for high decoration! It looks like it will work well for phones and other unobtrusive items.

Great for my use of attaching my iPhone to my road bike's Garmin mount while training with Zwift. I would never trust this mount with a real phone attached to it on a real road as it doesn't snap into place like a regular 3/4 turn Garmin mount. Works well for me on the trainer and that's all I was aiming for.

So far so good. I actually use this in a Wahoo mount and it connects flawlessly. I only use it for my phone while I'm on the treadmill. The glue took a while so be careful if you intend to use it outdoors. I would probably crimp it overnight at least to make sure it's strong. For my purposes, having the phone in front of me while training in the basement is great.

This product is great because I just need it. I use it to mount my iPhone 8-Plus with a Wahoo mount on top of a bike stem cover. I bought a cheap phone case to attach this mount. The sticky backing looks ok, but for added security I drilled some 1/16" holes and used fishing line to attach the case to the mount in case the adhesive came loose. See photo.

This type does not "snap" or "snap" into place as tightly as other oval styles. This style worked best for my recipient. Remember that the design is such that in the event of a failure, the ring in the receiver will break, freeing up the computer or device. I had another oval sticky style and it broke the receiver collars when they hit a bump in the road. The phone went there.
