It is what it is. suitable for suitcase locks

Completely ok. Easily slips into your zipper with tiny peeks. Hold on. Easy to take off and put on. The only thing is, it would be very easy to take a pair of wire cutters and cut this thing off. When I bought it, I knew it was just to deter people from stealing my stuff, like when I'm waiting for my plane at the airport, or throwing my luggage in a bus's luggage rack or under the floor. Bus. That's all. This is a deterrent. When my suitcase is locked and the next one isn't. Obviously the thief

great for travel - luggage locks

I purchased this item for travel in India and Asia where I knew I would be traveling by train. It was also perfect for protecting my suitcase/backpack in hotels. The cord is long enough to secure two suitcases and small backpacks on a train or hotel - although I bought two (one each for my husband and I) so I didn't have to split everything together. I don't think it's safe for really smart thieves, but for quick thieves it's perfect. I often travel the world and take it with me on every tripโ€ฆ

Good Cable - Luggage and Gear

This is a good cable to prevent accidental theft. It's light and someone has to use wire cutters to cut a wire or lock. This can best be described as an insurance policy to keep honest people honest and give the thief a rest. Within airport security I really only use it to protect our carry-on bags with cameras, ipods etc and my wife's purse. They are small and can be hidden. We don't feel the need to lock the skateboard. I regularly use it everywhere when I'm at bus or train stations. When I'm

Works well good for luggage and travel gear

After reading many bad reviews about the poor quality of main locks of this size I settled on this lock and cable from Eagle Creek. I used the lock for a dual purpose. I used the inner cable to lock the gun safe and the outer loop and actual lock through two zippers on the outside of the case. (The suitcase is also equipped with a TSA lock, which offers double protection against unscrupulous movers). If you don't have external locks, this article will help secure your belongings in any zippedโ€ฆ

Travel Essentials: Luggage and Travel Gear

We have used this lock and cord while traveling in Asia. Part of traveling is paying attention to how you and your belongings are kept safe and sound. We always lock our bags and when we left the room for the day we used the cord to lock our bags together. When we could, we also used a cable to attach our bags to furniture. Every tourist and traveler should take a lock and cable with them. If someone is really determined to steal your stuff, they will find a way, but it's a deterrent that makes

Scrap is the best travel accessory

This lock is free! First, the instructions are in such small print that you need an electron microscope to read them. Second, resetting the combination is clumsy and you can tell the lock's inner workings aren't working smoothly. I was able to reset the combo (I think) but I was never able to block the damn thing again. The bolt refused to return to its original position. Even if I could get it to work now, I don't think I would be comfortable with it. The last thing I want to do is spend a day
