I've worn them a number of times and the color comes off so easily and anything rubbing it leaves a white scratch. Taking the rubber mat I ordered from Revain, I took a few steps and found the underside to be smooth and slippery. These soles are very, very cheaply made and seem to crack and break if flexed too much while walking or working in them. They needed a good rubber sole. I will remember the name and never buy again.

It was a gift. They looked the same as here. They fit well. However, they have made them cheaper since he last bought them. His comment was just that: They're like expensive Walmart shoes. The soles look like plastic, not rubber, and are slippery. We'll send it back.

I've been buying this shoe for over 20 years. Now it's over. Eastland cut off a few corners, which drastically reduced the quality of the shoe. What was once a great full leather shoe with a very comfortable rubber sole no longer exists. This is a fairly cheap leather with a crocodile leather sole.

My husband switched from steel socks to casual and dress shoes with his company and stood and walked on concrete all day. I bought it for him for his birthday. Concerned about the reviews discussing these shoes not holding up but so far they have been fine for me. I wear them to work 5 days a week and am on my feet 4-6 hours a day. Still very comfortable and with few signs of wear.

My uncle died before he could wear them. The shoes were delivered in May, he fell ill and died. The shoes are brand new and I would like to exchange them for men's size 9 shoes only. I expected the shoes to be hard rubber for the price I paid. It's some cheap junk plastic that's like ice skates on a wet surface.

Cheap plastic soles just feel like a very cheap product. Don't buy believing they are quality shoes. Order one size larger than usual, especially if you need a large width. I would not recommend them if you want quality comfortable shoes.

These are great shoes but this is the second pair in less than a year. Cracked rubber outsole. I don't like other shoes I've tried but the only problem is the problem.

I order them once a year for my 79-year-old father. He is overweight and has difficulty walking and these are the only shoes he wears. He usually has wide legs but they fit like a charm. I would expect if he hadn't worn them every day in a variety of conditions (mud, snow etc) they would have lasted him a bit longer but overall they were very valuable!

I bought these shoes as my experience with Eastland has always been amazing and has continued for years. Not this pair, maybe the quality has gone down, or maybe only one batch is sold for Rhewain. After about 60 days of wear, the outsole cracked and is now falling apart, which is definitely not Eastland quality. They may just be clones or made by the Chinese, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Terrible purchase!
