Beautiful vinyl! Suitable for Self Adhesive Vinyl

I love this etched vinyl. I'm using Cricut Air 2 and had to add some new material to get it to cut properly. It's thicker than Cricut vinyl so I increased the cutting pressure to 185 which looks like a lot but cuts great. My blade may need replacing, so that could be my problem. The vinyl is great and I am very happy with it. Put it in my glass salt and pepper shakers to test it out and it looks great. After application we hand washed the shakers and the vinyl remained in excellent condition.

Read details.: Self-adhesive vinyl

I looked up Revain for Oracal etched glass vinyl and this was the first product I found. To be honest I thought this was what I wanted until I tried to cut it. I ruined a 24" vinyl before I got a decent cut. The weeding was an absolute nightmare! I hung it on the closet door. When I was done, it didn't look like the other door I was using Oracal had made. Lesson learned, read the details before ordering. But if anyone can suggest what cut settings I need for Cricut I would be very grateful!

Pros
  • Smooth semi-gloss matte finish. Clear tear resistant matte white vinyl with etched glass.
Cons
  • Damaged

Slightly glossy - Scrapbooking & Stamping

It has a slightly glossy appearance and was a little harder to rub against the glass than some types of vinyl. I was impressed by the fact that it appeared more raised as I rubbed it into the cover and rubbed the cover against the glass as it stuck to my rubbing rod. However, when I wanted to photograph the cover, I lost the middle part of the letter g, for example. The results were amazing, but it's not like you etched the glass because it's a bit shiny. You also get a lot of material to work…

Pros
  • INSTALLATION: Wipe window or glass with alcohol; Measure and cut the film; Dampen the window with water from a spray bottle; Peel off protective film and apply upwards and to the right from the lower left corner with a squeegee; Squeeze out excess water and bubbles with a squeegee, scraper or cardboard; Wipe the window with a rag.
Cons
  • Negative

Note: I changed this post from 1 star to 3 stars. The reason is that after an email the seller was more than accommodating to fix everything. For that reason alone, I'm increasing my rating. The glue on this roll reminds me of a post note. Don't expect anything permanent or indestructible here. In addition, the description indicates matt etching. I've used several matte etched style vinyls from several companies and have never received anything shipped with silver flakes. It's more of a matte…

OK, it worked.

This was hard to verify because I had the same issues as other reviews but it worked for what I was using it for. It cuts great with my Cricut. Yes the weeding was tricky, I ended up losing a few decorative swirls that were too flimsy but to be honest regular vinyl did the same to me. For small lettering I tried reverse thinning on transfer tape and it worked much better. Speaking of transfer tape, I have 2 brands and had to use the stickier version because my regular brand didn't transfer at…

Great for privacy but wish it didn't have glitter

Great for window privacy. However, it has glitter in it which is why I'm taking off a star because it's not what the product is described as. Easy to use. Provides the perfect amount of privacy without sacrificing light. I like that it is not so noticeable from the outside. If you don't get very close, you won't notice the glitter. I frozen 2 windows 11" wide x 7.75ft long with 1 roll and then bought another roll to make other windows. Easy to use with the following steps: 1. Clean the window…
