Extra Heavy Duty Hanger Screws Review

The hangers themselves are fine, but the screws are tiny and can't hold anything in a 'heavy' way. I will use other screws.

Three out of 10 errors. Here's a photo of the worst. Luckily I only needed 8 and was able to make do with one of the ruined ones. Next time I would try another provider.

8/10 updates were flat and ready to go. 1/10 had a significant burr on one side that had to be removed. 1/10 has a curve that needed ironing out. All screws were in good condition and had no defects. Will likely order again if needed due to minor imperfections compared to some others I've ordered.

In general the quality is normal. My biggest problem is that each part is too flat. So when I installed them on the shelf there was really no edge, no gap, no proper place for the screw head to slide in and really hold the shelf with these brackets. For example, the space between a bracket and a piece of wood just doesn't fit a cap screw. I had to loosen the bracket firmly to the wood of the shelf so there was enough room for the screw.

Product is OK but there is no tab on the back of the keyhole to insert the head of the wall mount screw. As a result, you will need to drill or trace the back of the panel that attaches to this keyhole hanger. If this keyhole hanger was better with dimples or a back pocket I would give it 5 stars. But as it is now, the installation will take a lot of extra time due to additional drilling or putting a slide pocket in the frame or photo board that you need to hang.

I bought this to put a heavy sign on, as soon as I opened the packaging I knew they wouldn't work. Not for heavy use, only for light use. The photo shows they are thick, in fact they look like they are stamped from very thin sheet metal. They also don't allow the screw head to slide into position without having to dig up part of the tree. This is a very misleading product presentation and a waste of time for me and Revain to order and return the product.

These brackets are for light shelving and other items you want to hang on the wall. The tiny screws are pretty much useless - not long enough to provide any real holding power. In addition, the countersunk hole is not deep enough so that the screw head does not sit flush with the bracket. To counteract this, you need to push the piece deeper into the wood so the screw heads don't damage the wall surface when you slide it down to hold it in place. The photo of this product is misleading and was taken at high magnification. These hangars are designed for wall decorations or medium-sized mirrors at best. I am about to hang a 10ft hanger and this product does not fit. The main issue is the screws that come with it, which, at best, thread a 1/4 inch into the wood of the hanging item. Both are very narrow and have relatively small threads to actually grip the object being hung - so the actual screws that come with it are bad 1/4" threads…
