Unreliable Flywheel for Your Automotive Woes!

My analysis of this replacement part showed that the Fidanza 161691 Aluminum Approved Flywheel is not worth the purchase. While the lightweight design may appeal to some drivers, the product's lack of durability and frequent need for repairs make it an unreliable option..

Pros
  • PROS: Lightweight design
Cons
  • CONS: Poor durability, frequent repairs needed.

Great Flywheel Upgrade!

This flywheel really transformed my automotive transmission and drive train system. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice I knew this aluminum flywheel would offer improved throttle response and smoother shifting .Im happy to say it delivered on those promises AND more. Plus, it's approved for racing, which is a major bonus. The only downside is that it's a bit pricey, but for the quality and performance, it's worth the investment. Thanks for the great product!

Pros
  • Improved engine response and acceleration due to lightweight design.
Cons
  • May cause increased transmission noise due to lack of dampening material.

Good idea, bad execution and no guarantee

Want lightweight? This is the flywheel for you. Want durability and something that looks like a guarantee? look elsewhere Fidanza presses the ring gear against the flywheel and then adds a security feature to hold the ring gear onto the flywheel with at least three bolts and washers. Note that bolts and washers do NOT hold the sprocket in place. from spinning on the flywheel - just to keep it from completely disengaging when it decides to spin. Steel 1050 and Aluminum 6061.
