Quality Replacement

Installed on a Dodge Caliber, no easy task but by replacing this pulley the car finally stopped making a horrible rattle and now the car is no longer embarrassing to drive .

Pros
  • Annual Trial
Cons
  • So-so

Difficult to fix but cheaper than 1 day at the store

Found a Dodge Caliber at my sister's, the battery wasn't charging well. Then a loud noise from the belts helped confirm something was wrong with the alternator. Disassembling and reassembling the generator is a pain. YouTube helped. This part worked fine.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • You could have chosen a newer model

Perfect for pulleys

Perfect for my 2007 Jeep Patriot 2.4L CVT with automatic transmission. My car was starting to make an awkward noise from the serpentine belt so I examined the belt and pulleys and found that the alternator pulley had failed, a common problem on these cars.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Some issues

It came on time! Fits perfectly!

I bought this part for my grandfather's 2009 Dodge Caliber. The store wanted to charge $600+ for the work. So I YouTube how to replace it. It took me about two and a half hours and a few curses, but I made it. Fits perfectly. Now the engine compartment is quiet and sounds like a new car.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Nice savings from OEM

Basically as described. However, the protective cover is already installed and this is really a one-time installation to protect the bottom bracket. I was able to get it off with a little damage but it should hold up. The time will show. Happy with the retail savings and replacing the entire alternator when all is normal is stock of these Chrysler/Jeep alternators.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • There are new competitors

NO MORE SPEETS on starters and alternators

These are pictures of my old pulley, my 2008 Chrysler Sebring made an annoying noise or squeak every time I turned it on and drove it. I did some research and found that many people had the same problem and solved it with this new pulley, so I tried it myself because I didn't want to replace the whole alternator because it was fine. Needless to say I am happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone having the same problem, the noise is completely gone and you can barely hear the…

  • Best in the niche

Saved me from the store's $600 labor

Saved me from the store's $600 labor. It took me two hours to replace this in my 2007 Dodge Caliber. Native camps exploded. It's a bit strange to photograph the original: you have to break it with a pneumatic tool in tightening mode and quickly switch to loosening mode, which loosens the screw. Be sure to purchase the recommended 17mm 1/2" hex head as it is not very common in a standard workshop. Hopefully this pulley will now outlast the car. It's not an easy or fun job.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Tape

It's better than what we have now!

This is not a bad product at all, well made, reasonably priced and should last a long time. My only issue is that it needs to have a dust cover, although it comes with an insert that says it's not required due to its airtight design. What's funny, the old one I took out of the car was exactly the same and had a dust cover! Anyway, a month has passed and I haven't had any issues, still sounds great. I'd take another if this one fell down the street, pardon the pun.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Useless features

Good product but my old alternator sucked.

You can first remove the old generator and remove this decoupling disc from the shaft. My mistake was that the alternator shaft was too worn to accept the new pulley and my attempts to install it resulted in it breaking. My air wrench wasn't set that high, but the shaft was bad. So I spent money on a broken pulley. It wasn't bad quality. I just had to remove the old alternator and then remove the old pulley to see if this pulley would fit. As a result, I bought a used generator with a working…
